    These sets were used in Gen V; not sure how well they do in X/Y. Eelektross is well-known for its wide offensive move pool:

    Second one is better. First one was used pre-Poke Bank; the second one is pretty much the go-to set post-Bank.

    Both have their merits. Outrage is the move where you want more raw power, but Dragon Claw provides more reliability at the cost of power.

    Remember that Outrage is one of Charmander's egg moves, while Dragon Claw is a TM move (I picked Dragon Claw for the sake of convenience).

    Hidden Power Ice would be preferred over Energy Ball to hit 4x weak Dragons, Gliscor and Landorus, but Energy Ball is still an okay substitute if Galvantula doesn't have the right Hidden Power type.

    • So, the popular Volcarona set maxes out HP and Defense. I was wandering if I should use roost, or if Chesto-Rest is still good?

    Chesto-Rest would allow me to wipe of a T-wave or other bad status and heal me, which roost can't do. Obviously, roost can be popped more than once.

    I'm only using Volcarona for Doubles where Stealth Rock is less common.

    Also, recommend a Klefki set. (for doubles if there is a difference)

    Volcarona's main roles in doubles are either a Quiver Dance user, like in Singles, a Rage Powder supporter to give teammates time to attack or a Tailwind supporter to speed up the rest of the team for a while:
    -Quiver Dance/Rage Powder/Tailwind
    -Bug Buzz
    -Heat Wave
    -Protect
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 4 HP/252 SAtk/252 Spe
    Item: Lum Berry/Focus Sash/Charti Berry

    I can't think of any doubles Klefki sets at the moment.

    • You're gonna hate hearing this because this is repeated really often for doubles teams, especially for Pokemon with diverse movepools.

    Klefki's role in doubles is mainly support. Its Prankster ability is the most important bit there. There is no "standard" Klefki moveset because its moveset is so diverse so it really depends on what your team needs. Also, its attack and special attack is exactly the same so you can go with either physical or special attacks. It WILL need to carry at least one attack since Klefki are prone to Taunt. I can't help you build a Klefki set without seeing the rest of your team and knowing what gives you major issues. Let me point out why.

    Fairy Lock blocks your opponent from switching, so you can actually get some critical kills with this move. Fairly gimmicky though.

    Torment stops stuff from using the same move twice. Anything choiced is essentially effed. Lots of scarfed Mamoswine around, you might wanna look into this. There's other things running around with Choice items but they are either rare or often seen carrying other items (hard to guess). Anyone with brains will switch out if they get Tormented unless they've got only 2 or less left.

    Recycle - gimmicky but there's some potential.

    Magic Room shuts down all megas for 5 turns. Charizard, Mawile, Kangaskan, and Manectric are especially crippled.

    Light Screen and Reflect - standard screens

    Safeguard - go ahead and laugh at status.

    Thunder Wave - status.

    Swagger - more status.

    I have no idea if most megas give you trouble, whether or not you're just plain taking too much damage, or if you find yourself crippled often. Get the point yet?

    • Just wanted to know which is a better attack. Surf or Water Pulse? Surf does bigger damage but Water Pulse can confuse the opponent but with less punch.

    This is for single Pokemon, btw.
