DCC titles never cease to amaze me
Same for me bud, I had a feeling someone was inspired by Katy Perry here.

I do that with both Wikipedia, and TV Tropes. xD;Wikipedia...Not on there as much as before because I don't have to do essays or papers anymore, but whenever I got myself on an interesting page, I will start hopping from one link to another XD I'll start populating my brain with useless information.
Today I was on Wikipedia reading about an alleged anti-gravity/time travel device constructed by Nazi Germany called Die Glocke. It seems to be composed of two counter-rotating cylinders with a violet mercury-like substance (red mercury) in the middle. Some say it was an anti-gravity device, others claim that there was a mirror on top of it that showed images from the past; I myself believe it was a time-travelling device, mainly because right before the war ended the project's lead scientist and the device vanished. Also, in 1966 an unknown object supposedly crashed somewhere in the middle of Ohio or Pennsylvania, never to be seen. It intrigues me~
You probably shouldn't believe Wikipedia. Go to the bottom of the page and look at the sources and see if those look like legit pages and read about them on there. You might find more information that is more relevant.

Sometimes there aren't sources for everything; and for a reason. That doesn't mean it's a load of crap by default, River. D:
That's what the professors would tell us to do for papers, if we ever were allowed to use Wikipedia. Instead of referencing sources from Wikipedia, look at the footnotes and locate where the information came from :P We had a discussion about this in my culture class, but I wasn't listening XD
....I feel like I could have just saved so much time if I had just done that!! My god, you my friend, are a genius.
I thought that was common sense...XD Not that I'm insulting you and telling you that you have none >< But if the information's on Wikipedia, it's bound to be from somewhere else.

Nah, it's all good haha! I don't think I had ever actually looked at Wikipedia in depth before so I just relied on my information elsewhere. But hey, now I know so when I return to school in the Fall I can use that little tidbit of info to my advantage :)
Whenever one of my professors tells us we're not allowed to use Wikipedia in our essays (most of my college professors encourage the use of Wikipedia for other means), I just ignore that for that very reason. There's a source to almost all of the content in most of the articles that someone would write a report on and I use those sources in my report instead.I thought that was common sense...XD Not that I'm insulting you and telling you that you have none >< But if the information's on Wikipedia, it's bound to be from somewhere else.
I don't think they're telling you that you can't use it, but you can't use it as a citation.Whenever one of my professors tells us we're not allowed to use Wikipedia in our essays (most of my college professors encourage the use of Wikipedia for other means), I just ignore that for that very reason. I would recommend switching schools. The teachers at the school I went to allowed us to use their database, and websites on the internet just as long as we used them in our citations. What's stupid about my high school is that they force us to use their database for ALL sources, so Google isn't allowed. Their database is also full of organizationally-biased info, meaning you're going to find zilch on how computers should be integrated into public education (as an example).
I don't really care enough, so I just grab something from Google or WP and plaster their database's name onto it. They don't really care enough to notice~ :D
