@ liberal army, Where did you get that picture at?

It's on the official website, but you can also find the picture on Pokébeach.

New Mauville was just east of Seaside Cycling Road, here it is northwest of it, so no way this is New Mauville. You can see the structure on the Hoenn Map on the exact same place of where Mauville City should be. And to finish this, you can see the cave leading to New Mauville as well, just east from the Cycling Road.

The only other thing it could be is the Trick House then and the towers around it are just background. That's the only thing northwest of Slateport in the general area before all the mountains.

The Trick House is more north of Slateport than it is northwest. (If you bike in a straight line from Slateport you'll hit it.) Also, I can't imagine the Trick House having those pillars; it's much more fitting for New Mauville or Mauville to have them.

I was thinking it was New Mauville after it was mentioned, but it is true the cave is there in the other map while this image shows no cave before the building. So now I'm leaning toward it being Mauville.

I'm happy to see all the old familiar trainer classes in that artwork <3. One can see the Sailors, the Tuber girl, the Lovey Duvey couple, fishers, swimmers, etc.

You can see the Trick House in it's usual location in the middle of the Route connecting Slateport City to Mauville City. I'd just say the only real update Mauville has is getting walls as some cities did in XY, iirc New Mauville was all underground anyway.

I was rewatching the trailer and noticed that the gym with the trap doors has water and steam can be seen that was reminiscent of hotsprings. So it's most likely Flannery's gym, instead of Roxanne's like a lot of us originally though.

I first thought when seeing it it was Trick House. The trapdoors made me think so.
Flannery's gym is likely, but it also could be Brawly's gym. You can even see a Battle Girl to the left and what looks like some Karate dude at the right side.
I don't know for sure, but my bet still goes to Trick House.

Yeah it was all underground/covered up by earth. Though why would the trick master have antennas over his house? Maybe he'll have some cool new puzzles? That guy didn't appeared in any game since Emerald, even though he said he was going to travel...

@ L.A. I checked and there's a Battle girl in Flannery's gym in the originals, so it seems it's even more likely it's Lavaridge's gym.

The trick house is the dark looking house to the left of the middle of Cycling Road I think, it was further down from Mauville City.

Wow, that artwork is absolutely stunning! I stared at it for a good two minutes, dang. *__* It could simply be New Mauville, but still in the construction phase. From the map, the wall seems to be small and incomplete, so that could be a plot point as well. Hard to tell from what they've given us so far, though.

When comparing the two games, I'm amazed how much detail and how well they've captured the originality of the games. I was kinda put off by the XY graphics style of Hoenn since for me it might not feel like Hoenn in that style, but after seeing the E3 gameplay yesterday it looks incredible!

Wow, one can still tell it's the same place despite the graphics leap. It looks like Hoenn after all ^^ (instead of Kalos).
The trees remind me of Gen IV's in their style :). I enjoyed the sinnoh style trees.

I wonder if you'll be able to see your reflection in the water the bridge is going across much like in RSE. Given how you can see your reflection in the puddle, it seems like it'd be a possibility, but at the same time, the water also looks a tad too dark to reflect things.

The water is darker than the water in XY too...
I hope that we can, I enjoyed playing around the water to see the player's reflection.

Oh.. oh wow. I did not make this full connection until you posted these images. That is seriously incredible.

    They got it to look almost exactly like the original from positioning, to pixel by pixel, to shape, to beauty. This is so great. ;v;

Did you guys notice how amazing the water in Hoenn looks in ORAS? Like look beneath the Cycling Road here.

Wooow so much depth. I can't wait to dive in there and see how amazing it looks beneath the surface.

Canada will be getting this to right? I thought I heard it might not be

Canada is part of NA and we (the continent) have our release date as the 21st of November so yeah, if not they would've said U.S. instead of NA.

I love how we can now travel Diagonally in Hoenn thanks to that addition being added in XY.

I'm not really fond of how vivid those tiles look in terms of color, personally. :( It could just be some brightness issue, though; maybe they could be toned down a bit if you reduce it?

Even the design of the trees in that screenshot of Brendan running through the puddle has a faint resemblance to the style of the Hoenn trees! Astonishing that they would be that intricate with the graphics, but I love it! Great work, and truly inspired by what Game Freak has put out so far. The water looks gorgeous! Wonder if there'll be an option to look up at the surface when diving underwater to see the light shining down from the sun as it reflects off the water - most likely a breathtaking sight.
