Ruby Docks is still called Lavender Town on Town Map.

Haha we both noticed this at the same time. I just fixed it at 9:54am today. https://github.com/huderlem/maize/c...#diff-e46501cf53b5350592881aa2bb2a9c49L102668

I also changed it so that the player's inventory holds 50 items, and the PC holds 20. I just flipped them around.

I'm glad you made the bag able to hold more items, but I don't like how you made the PC able to store only 20 items. Could you please make it so that it can hold an unlimited amount of items, or at least 99?

Nope. The player doesn't need that much space.

I can't use Dig on Hardwater Hole which is supposed to be a cave-like place.

  • Did I do something wrong? I patched it up but my game does not have any colour/color in it? It's black and white like regular Red and not like the screenshots that were provided.

EDIT: I figured it out when scrolling through some of the pages
You need to play in SGB (super gameboy) mode. Most emulators support this. VisualBoy Advance is a popular emulator that will do this. Shiny pokemon flash the screen black when they appear, so that's how you can tell in case you can't get the colors to work. They also have a "!" in the top-left corner in their stats screen if you catch one.

I think this should be put on the FAQ.

Ah, good call! I meant to put this on there a couple weeks ago. I'll update it now.

  • Found a bug.

After hitting Fearow with Dive he used Mirror move, this causes an endless loop. I made a little gif of the endless loop to show what I'm talking about.

Stumbled across this hack a few days ago, and i haven't been able to put it down. One of the best hacks i've ever played, keep it up man. Great overall feel to it, lot of brilliant ideas. Absolutely love the npc dialouge and the talking bushes XD

Few things i've noticed, i'm not sure if you have already noticed or other people have pointed out. Mostly small things:

    - You can't use teleport or fly from the top of rocky point
    - The guy standing in front of pyrite gym says bend twice in his dialouge
    - I think it might be possible to get stuck in pyrite gym if playing in nuzlocke mode
-The doors reappear after trainer battles so for example i think the second door you have to have a normal pokemon in your party to open it, but if you nly have one normal pokemon and it dies in battle when the door reappear you wouldn't be able to get out

    - Also in pyrite gym the script on the floor is still active after the door disapears so you can still activate the message
    - The private elevator outside of quartz city is all kinds of messed up, the script in front of the door before you beat team quarry is a tad strange, the sign is in a wierd position right infront of the door but thats just a personal thing. once you make it through hardwater hole and can use the elevator the levels are 1. Ultra ball 2. 1F 3. B4. The first two levels work fine, just a strange name, but b4 will get you stuck if you exit
    - One last thing when playing nozlocke mode and you try to catch a pokemon that you're not allowed too the message is far too long, first time i saw it i chuckled and though it was cute, but sometimes its difficult to tell what consitutes a new area so you have to throw a ball just to check and read through an entire paragraph.

I love the hack so far my good sir, keep it up

Good to know. I'm wondering if this happens when Mirror Move is used for all new attacks.

Glad you like it! I know about almost all of the these, and I'll be fixing them. The only new one is the elevator script displaying "Ultra Ball". It's just supposed to show "1F" and "B4F". Maybe this only happens in nuzlocke mode. Could you possibly send me your .save file, so I can debug it?

Also, you can't get stuck in that gym because you can always choose "GO HOME" from the start menu while playing Nuzlocke mode.

I hadn't seen the go home option in the menu, very good idea to put that in.

I haven't the slightest idea how to send you a file

  • Hello, I would like to say that this is one of the best hacks I ever played. Keep up the good work and hopefully this hack will be completed.

One question, I went into Macer Tunnels and I saw strength bolders. Is it the end of the beta or I need to find Strength somewhere else? Just want to know before I upload the last episode of my walkthrough.

Thanks! You can get Strength at the end of the Bike Park to move those boulders. You need the 6th badge to use Strength, also.

  • OK.....this might be my first gen 1 hack and it certainly brings back memories.
My question is that will pokemon evolving through stones like nidoiong and murkrow learn moves after their evolution or do we have to grind them till an acceptable level to evolve cause I have a 22 lv murkrow.
    Pros:
1 first time I have seen a mystery gift event in any hack.
2 while I'm still in the third gym area the story so far is good and the mysterious character seems pretty good too.
3 pokemon are easy to grind
4 addition of attacks from other gens
5 hold items like those rings is a pretty good idea and this is the first time I've seen it in any hack.
6 the rival is the biggest douche bag I've ever seen
    Cons:
1 some pokemon sprites like murkrow are bad.
2 the character sprite is bad
3 the color of the frames in different cities doesn't change at all its plain black n white is it because I'm playing in the gba emulator?????
4 catching pokemon like drilbur and murkrow seems impossible because they appear rare and at one instance where a drilbur was poisoned had around 5 hp and it still broke a great ball.
overall a great hack and its still too early to give my verdict I'll give it when I complete this beta version

Thanks. Also, how come when I used a Dark-type move on a Gastly/Haunter. It wasn't super effective?

Also, I'll be sure to post more bugs in this thread. :)

Nidoking learns Thrash at 23 and Head Smash at 35. Honchkrow has the same learnset at Murkrow.

6 the rival is the biggest douche bag I've ever seen
    Cons:
1 some pokemon sprites like murkrow are bad. Yep. I'm not very good at art.
2 the character sprite is bad :( He's from a game called Anodyne.
3 the color of the frames in different cities doesn't change at all its plain black n white is it because I'm playing in the gba emulator????? You need to play in Super GameBoy mode (SGB).
4 catching pokemon like drilbur and murkrow seems impossible because they appear rare and at one instance where a drilbur was poisoned had around 5 hp and it still broke a great ball. You're just unlucky. Drilbur's catch rate is pretty high, and I've seen other people catch it. Murkrow is sort of difficult to catch, though.
overall a great hack and its still too early to give my verdict I'll give it when I complete this beta version
I added comments in your quote above.

Because I screwed up! I just fixed this. Thanks for pointing it out.
