On to our next topic. Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire versions introduced a new weather condition which is unofficially known as 'strong winds', currently it can only be accessed throught Mega Rayquaza's Delta Stream Ability.

Here's the the question list like usual:
Do you think strong wind should be widely distributed though a new Ability and/or with a weaker variation?
Do you think it should be launched by a move (a la Sunny Day, Rain Dance etc.)?

1. As a Hidden Ability yes, though there might be Pokémon in future games that have the ability. Such as Drought, Ninetails has it and Mega Chardizard Y has it.
2. I would say Rain Dance, consider strong winds usually happen during rain/thuder storms.

Sorry on the confusion on question to I mean 'a la' as 'in a given manner of'. :)

But yes, I agree completely, a Hidden Ability should launch the said weather condition. I can see the Flying-types getting more use if such ability (or similar/weaker variant for the Flying-types) are made. :)

My bad, I was actually thinking this would be a good ability for two other Legendary's. Zapdos & Thundorus. Consider Eletric type moves are powered up during rain. Though, in future games there might be more Pokémon with it has a Hidden Ability or the current ones that don't have Megas yet may receive it in a Mega form.

Yeah if rain were to trigger strong wind at the same time, they are definitely wiping every team clean! {XD}

Now that brings us to a new topic.
Would you like to see an another Flying-type Legendary Pokémon for Generation 7? Why?

Actually, I'd like to see something break the mold in terms of 7th-gen legendaries. Looking at the current list, we have quite the number of Flying and Dragon types already; a new generation has the capability to make that more diverse. It would be cool too see a Poison-type mythical Pokemon, as that is something has never been introduced before :)

Yeah, I agree we have too much Flying-type legendary Pokémon, like the Water-type legendary they are featured in almost every generations. Funnily Flying-type isn't usually seen as the most powerful type or the best type, yet they include a lot legendary under the Flying-type house. :D

I'm more then likely gonna have to say a Dark/Fire legend for Gen 7. Flying type Legends took over Gen 1 & 2 with Moltres, Zapdos, Articuno, Lugia & Ho-Oh.

It's not for no reason Primal Rayquaza broke the Ubers tier, it's a immensely overpowered ability (and then there were his high base stats too). Instantly eliminating all weaknesses is incredible, but requiring to spend a turn on that gives a drawback that should be making it playable. Also should be kept in mind there's only one plain flying type at this point, so the Pokémon would still have some other weaknesses (unless the Pokémon is Zapdos or similar).

Would you like to see an another Flying-type Legendary Pokémon for Generation 7? Why?
Well, there are never enough flying type legendary Pokémon. It's definitely not unique, but as flying types can be so diverse, there's nothing that prevents the addition of something entirely new that happens to have flying too. But I agree with Draco, I want to see a poison type legendary.

The Pokémon world is hella unfair, Rayquaza the member of Uber tier has received an OP Ability through his Mega Evolution form, while the ones who truly need that Ability like Fearow and the others received none. :/

How about a Poison and Flying legend?

Well, Delta Stream on Fearow would be nonsense. Still, it's one of those Pokémon that really need a Mega and have a good potential of getting one looking at its design. Maybe it could get Gale Wings.

I say yes to a poison/flying legendary! A giant toxic flying monster would be lovely!

Aww… Don't miss 'and others'. :( My main point was Fearow, but that bird came into mind randomly.

If we're discussing who should be having an Ability that is akin to or similar to Delta Stream, sign up Braviary, Honchkrow and some that aren't in my mind. Lol

Braviary maybe, but what do you think of Swellow? (Mega Pidgeot would be perfect too, but we have that one already.)
I'm not sure about Honchkrow, it needs a more dark ability, maybe Moxie, Intimidate or Sheer Force.

Sorry, sorry! {XD}

Yeah, it suits the handsome Braviary. It doesn't fit in Swellow. But I'm biased to Swellow, so I might give it Adaptability, Gale Wings or maybe Speed Boost.

Mega Pidgeot is hella grand, love the epic design. Honchkrow, hmmm he's a bit unfortunate to have that Speed stat, it's worse when he doesn't have a bulky stat.

No? I still see Swellow as a possible candidate, but Gale Wings and Adaptability are great options too. I personally associate Speed Boost more with the bug type than flying. But who needs Speed Boost anyway when you have Gale Wings? It's not like Swellow can learn so many other interesting moves.

Maybe Mega Honchkrow would give some compensation for either its speed stat or its defenses. A tanky Honchkrow would be very cool, it has access to Roost, Substitute and maybe Taunt, which could form a good base for bulk.

Speaking of possible Megas, what do you think about Crobat?

Yes, I see a Mega Crobat. Though some may say no to that because of the Speed stat on Crobat.

The Torchic family came in and said hi. Lol {XD} But yes, Gale Wings is clearly superior for Swellow than Speed Boost. :)

Yeah, a Mega Honchkrow needs to be tanky, at least it should have the defensive stats of a Bronzong. :)

Crobat is an old Pokemon, so naturally it wasn't affected by the diversity typings as we see nowadays. Meaning its type was limited to a role when it first made its sweet debut to our franchise; Crobat was one of the best annoyer. With the new Toxic mechanic, it is able to abuse the move Toxic with complete ease with that handsome speed.

So if I were to make it a Mega Evolution, this Mega Form should be an attacker. :) Might need to cut that speed for a little bit, perhaps 121 base speed? :P

It doesn't have much access to moves that boost his stats.

Screw Torchic. No, but for serious, I don't think the Speed Boost ability fits the Torchic line at all, don't know why they have it. It's not like they needed the ability either, they were good enough already.

Crobat's typing is more helpful nowadays. Its poison part was completely useless to attack with as flying works great against grass types too. It was only helpful in the sense of actually resisting fighting, which all those normal/flying birds don't. I agree its Mega should be offensive, but no need to cut down his amazing speed. I'd say it should stay the same and it gets a +40 bonus on attack. Relatively its speed still goes down.

Also when we were talking about Torchic, this topic came in mind:
Which Pok?mon do you think are good candidates to gain the flying type upon Mega evolution?

Competitions rose in Gen IV and V which made the Blaze one nearly unusable.

The reason why I had to trim that 394 Speed is to prevent it from becoming a broken Pokemon. :)

I would love all bird Pokemon to receive Megas, but I'm not against of the likes of Bug/Flying. :D

Fellow flying crews, remember to participate the voting in Club of The Month thread. :)

It might seem unusual, but I can see Rapidash getting a Fire/Flying Mega. It could be based on a Pegasus (a winged horse) or maybe even Sleipnir, Odin's 8-legged steed from Norse mythology! The good thing about it is that it would most likely be an easy job balancing it for competitive play when creating stat boosts; it would become 4x weak to Stealth Rock, so that would always compensate for base stats that would otherwise make the Pokemon broken.
