There's this theory that Type: Null is "a combination of the three starters' later forms, possibly also Rockruff depending on what's under the mask."

I think this is interesting, but I don't know if we should give it any credibility.

None of those parts look like the 'leaked concept art' we've seen, unless if the branch evolution rumor is true, so it's likely wrong.
If it is then alternate final evolution Litten looks like it could be Fire/Poison :D.

Even if the starter leaks are likely to be true, these are just leaks and we don't know their veracity until there is an official announcement for the mid-evos of the final evos, so they might be fake.

Lucky guess. None one in Aether is old enough to be her mother, expect maybe Wicke but that seems unlikely. Lusamine looks like Lilie but seems to young to have a child that age. That is assuming the protags are older then 10. Lusamine looks no older then 25 imo. fighting dragon has also been speculated a lot of 4chan lately, so who knows. Might be legit might not be.

As cool as it be, I also don't see Type Null being Missingno.

characters have been getting designed to look younger than you'd think like the veteran classes and stuff so assuming she's too young from her art doesn't really mean she isn't actually older than she looks but the second part I do agree on, it's unlikely that type: null is related to missingno.

True, it's hard to tell age with new designs, so it's possible she's the mother. I still get a sister vibe though. I think the connections people made with her and Plumeria are interesting. They point out how Plumeria cares for the people of skull and wants to protect them, while Lusamine cares for Pokémon.

Perhaps that's the intention and while they giving of similar vibes. I really wonder how all of it will tie together.

I think the back legs look more canine than feline based and the tail bit reminds me of gyarados? maybe?

the plot/characters are looking really interesting I actually hope they manage to not leak too much about them now. pokemon/gameplay stuff I'm fine with but I think it's going to be fun to find out how everything is actually connected. whether she's lillie's mother/sister/aunt whatever I'm willing to bet they are related in some way though.

That's what a lot of people are speculating. Its page on the official website states: "The reason is that Type: Null was constructed to synthesize the strengths of various Pokémon, enabling it to adapt to any situation." so I'm convinced!

I just had a thought that maybe the ghost girl in Lumiose City is actually a Ultra Beast. I'm just guessing but I think that the idea sounds interesting. It might not be UB-01.

Interesting thought! :o Personally I always thought she was added as kind of an easter egg more than anything?

That could happen. It be an neat callback. I still feel like they will somehow address that, but maybe it is an easter egg and something they'll expand upon in a kalos remake years from now. The thing with the train station to makes me feel like they are connected, but maybe not.

Also some people are speculating that Colress is going to be in the game because there's a picture that kinda looks like he's in the background plus the riddler apparently changed his avatar to Colress just recently.

There's been a lot of speculation building up over this since the latest trailer. It wouldn't surprise me if he did make an appearance considering how other past characters have done so before. He seems to fit the whole Aether Corp theme imo.

i think the girl in Lumiose is just a ghost. either way, this is the first time we've seen a being in pokemon thats not a human, pokemon, animal or ghost. wait, has there ever been an animal in the games other then references made to them in the pokedex?
i wonder... what if the UBs are regular animals that evolved separately from pokemon & humans? we still don't know exactly how humans went from being considered pokemon to being something else or why regular animals even exist in the pokemon world.
nor where most of them went for that matter.

Just something I was thinking about: I find it very interesting that even the most "correct" leaks we have so far only mentioned very "safe" cameo characters, such as "past Champions." Even as someone who wants SM to have some narrative connection to XY, seeing Dexio and Sina was surprising. I mean, out of all the gen 6 characters to get a cameo, I was definitely not expecting it to be them. It does make sense when you think about it, but it's still surprising nonetheless. And unless I'm forgetting something, I don't recall any leak mentioning them (none of the "Big 4" do, at least). I'd have a hard time believing a leak to be fake if they had mentioned these two, but instead all the leaks give very "safe" cameo guesses which anyone can assume will appear.

Should be worth pointing out how Zygarde (or at least its cores) is apparently tied to the story in some form or another. I wonder what significance it'll have?

To me it looked like it was more of a special side quest like the delta episode. Probably you have to collect cores and once you collect a certain number there will be a character talks to you or maybe a battle follows. Then once you collect all of the cores you unlock the complete zygarde. Probably you wont be able to collect all of them until post game areas unlock.

That's kind of what I mean, though. They aren't very memorable which is why it's surprising for them to be cameo characters this time around. So if any leak had mentioned them, it would be extremely in their favor. Leakers, even if they're legit, want attention--otherwise, why bother to post the leak at all? Mentioning that we get "some Champions" as cameos is too easy and wouldn't draw any attention, not to mention it doesn't add much credibility since anyone and everyone could have guessed it.

The leaker "not knowing everything about the game" is always a possibility but considering they play a role in achieving all the Zygarde Cells I'd say that's a pretty big game component, too.

I'm surprised Cynthia was absent from the sixth gen games considering how she was in every other main series game following her debut in Diamond & Pearl. It feels like she's an important character of the franchise as a whole, so if anyone is coming back then I'd put money on it being her.
