What's the tactic behind that? String shot reduces the opponent's speed until that mon leaves the battle. Switched out/fainted, etc.

Not if you catch a Caterpie. Metapod with tackle and string shot is actually a fairly nice Pokémon to start the game with.

Isn't this thread a bit silly, 'cause there's no such thing as best, (there'll always be something out there that can beat you) and no such thing as worst, (I'm reminded of facing two metapods against eachother, in Pokémon season 1) so yeah. In my opinion, Furret = best, Pupitar = worst.

Spelling issues aside MY EYYYES! =[ I reckon it'd be more something along the lines of: It needs to make certain parts of itself solid, to interact fully with this dimension, and those parts can be hit, therefore damaging it, if only slightly.

I don't have friends, so I've seen as many shinies as I've caught. 1. A Zubat on FireRed. Not evolving, gonna get one of each pokémon, shiny and normal. Ain't going well, so far. Kinda hampered by the huge unpopularity of pokémon over here, and aforementioned lack of friends, but I'll get by.
