Yeah it most definitely helps, and as far as the line art goes it could be a lot neater and it will be. (just need to stop rushing the inking process; I find is so tedious)

Wow these are very nice. Don't get discouraged. Try using basic geometric figures to sketch out your own poses. Draw as many sketches as you need to until you nail the one that you find most suitable.
