Honestly, this is the most excited I am about a Pokemon game in an extremely long time. All the recent titles I've enjoyed, to a degree, and D/P remakes are something I've pre-ordered and will enjoy playing, I'm sure, but Legends is something next level.

I'm very much happy with Grookey (Rillaboom). It was the only thing that was "spoilt" for me, but I wanted to know what the starters final evolution where, everything else I wanted to be as much as a surprise as possible.

From someone who has played the games from day one (stopped at B2/W2), back when the odds were in the 8000's, I feel it lessens it a BIT, but not totally. Yes, it's easier to get, but then the value of a shiny is defined by the person who has it, so it's all just down to the person. I see them...

Meh. I'm not really a massive fan of the 2nd gen starters, so I'll go out and do this for the stardust boost, rather than the shiny.
