  • I'll admit that the UK has better soccer/futbol. Chelsea is my favorite team.
I'd love to go there some day.
Really? So then you'd know what "trainers" are (as in, not pokemon).
'Tis funny because I'm writing a fanfic that takes place in the UK (which I know almost nothing about).
Grovyle had it coming. Ray didn't even have the chance to say Detect and his Pokemon was brutally hit by a critical fire force. Grovyle got knocked back and landed before his trainer. He fainted.

"Ohh... you're gonna pay for that!" He thought he could win with two Pokemon on the stadium, but apparently he wasn't right.

    "Jolteon, use Discharge!"
The stadium filled with electricity once more.
"Grovyle finish him off with Pursuit!" Grovyle was still next to Haunter and it was an easy hit. He used Pursuit once more.

His opponent was starting to lose control, he could feel it. It was time for the final blow. He was keeping this move for the end as it was a special one and it was always needed.

"Jolteon, Protect!" All the clones hid and the light of the flash went out.

"Check mate!" yelled Ray as he saw Grovyle charging at the Gas Pokemon.

(OCC- you forget the clones.. your Pokemon has no specific target.)
The enemy was close, that was the chance Ray was looking for.

"Jolteon use Thunder!" Thunder could not possibly miss from melee range, and Haunter was closer than that. Jolteon made a huge lightning bolt and threw it to the Ghost Pokemon who was attacking her.

"It's time for the final blow! Grovyle, backstab Haunter with Pursuit using your speed and your jolts!"
His Pokemon charged at Haunter from behind leaving electricity behind him and raised his hand which gathered dark energy and prepared to strike.

"No way I'm losing Jolteon! Hide with your clones!" Jolteon and her clones speedied up and mixed up.
Why are you online at this hour? Why am I online at this hour?
    It's so early.
"Yeah, I knew that was coming! Jolteon go right behind Grovyle! Grovyle, instanly use Detect to avoid the wave!" The real Jolteon was behind Grovyle so she just stepped forward. Grovyle formed a shield of leaves and put it in front of him. It should block alot of damage.

Dark Pulse hit most of the clones of Jolteon, which vanished right after the hit. The wave hit Grovyle's leafy shield leaving him unharmed, but it wasn't blocked entirely and hit Jolteon. The hit wasn't as it supposed to be, but Jolteon could handle it. She almost fell back.

"Jolteon, stay behind Grovyle and use Discharge!" Jolteon and her clones spread electricity around the stadium for one more time. Grovyle did the same thing as before: he used his speed and his shield to avoid the jolts.

After the move was executed, Ray thought it was time for the final blow.
    "Guys prepare for our combo!"

Jolteon charged herself up. Then she charged Grovyle with electricity. It hurted Grovyle but it was definitely worth it. Grovyle groaned but when he got used to the jolts, he turned his head and looked at his trainer.
"I have a few tricks up my sleeve to counter you once more! Also, Leaf Storm is lifting the dust so we can easily find you! Grovyle, Jolteon, defensive position!"
Grovyle didn't move. He just stared in the dust.
But the clones of Jolteon did move. Ray saw her tail... going where she should be when on defensive position.

"I challenge you to attack me now!" shouted Ray. His defensive tactic with those too was unbeatable.
"Jolteon light up the stadium with flash!" All the hidden clones of Jolteon charged themselves and threw a bolt in the air which lighted up the stadium. The view was incredible, because the clones were hidden in a circle around Haunter. Great, thought Ray.

"Grovyle, throw the gust of your Leaf Storm on Haunter!" Grovyle pushed his hands forward sending the big gust right at Haunter. Ray's plan was not to cause damage, but to clear up all that dust from the crater Haunter had made with Shadow Punch.

"Grovyle prepare yourself for Haunter's attack!" Haunter was on the crater he made, thought Ray. So he might use a surprizing attack.

"Jolteon charge yourself up and be ready!" All the Jolteon charged their fur once again and stretched out their bodies, keeping the jolt of Flash above their heads.
Ominous WInd.. it could be a problem. But... Grovyle could help in this. He could make a wind as an answer to this attack.

"Jolteon, keep the Discharge up at full power! Grovyle use Leaf Storm!"

Grovyle raised his hands on the air. Leaves started to twist in a powerful gust made in front of Grovyle. Ray's Pokemon made it even bigger at time passed and then released it to the Statium. Ray thought Discharge and Leaf Storm couldn't stop each other, but Ominous Wind...

If Ominous Wind prevailed now, it'd hit both of his Pokemon badly, so he had to do something to interrupt the attack. Ray smiled. All this dark wind could be proven useful.
Ray didn't see that Fire Punch coming, but it didn't change his plan at all.

"Grovyle, use Detect to protect yourself from Fire Punch and prepare for another attack!"
And now, it was the right time time... Grovyle fell in the ground and backed off.
    "Jolteon Discharge!"
Jolteon let loose of her electricity once again, she sent it everywhere on the stadium. Grovyle fought it with Detect. He avoided the lightnings with his speed, going up and down like a ball. Let's see what will Haunter do.

    (OCC- Okay, I got that.)
Ray saw Grovyle jumping and he thought of Sucker Punch, one second before Haunter hit his Pokemon with it. But it was too late.

"Damn!" he sweared as Grovyle was falling back, hurted.

"Okay... now to execute a new strategy!" said Ray and grinned.
"Grovyle, use your speed to catch Haunter's arm! Or whatever you can catch anyway" Grovyle jumped once again

"Jolteon hide in the small craters earthquake left behind and wait for Grovyle's signal!"

All the clones of Jolteon and Jolteon herself hid in the small craters. Perfect... He could recognise the real Jolteon by the way she was swinging her tail. It was an unoticable signal to her master.
My mistake sorry. I forgot to withdraw my Pokemon. So let's say I did this before Haunter casted Will-O-Wisp and hit both of my Pokemon.

Ray looked at Haunter. He didn't expect to see a ghost Pokemon so that pretty much destroyed his tactic. He could only do serious damage with Jolteon now.

    "Go, Grovyle!"
Grovyle raised his tail and growled, staring at Haunter.

Haunter's Will-O-Wisp hit both Pokemon and Jolteon got burned and started rampaging throwing bolts around her and rolling in the water. Grovyle was splashing around too.

One simple attack had made his team splashing around the mud. Interesting, thought Ray. He was kind of troubled even if he had the upper hand.
"Grovyle jump and use Pursuit on Haunter! Jolteon, use Double Team"
When Grif ordered Waterfall, Ray knew it was Charizard's time.
"Time to turn on the heat! Charizard! Overheat! Burn all the stadium!"
Every bit of ice started melting under Charizard's heat... the Waterfall started melting too... and it stopped when Charizard was hit by Waterfall.
"Now you're done!" yelled while Charizard was falling down from the sky, making a hole on the ground. Steam was all around the air.
    "Jolteon, Discharge!"
Jolteon let electricity flow around her, and she sent it everywhere on the stadium, the frozen waterfall, the water around her and directly in her opponents.
Ray knew there was no possible escape from this attack. That's why he loved so much that Pokemon.
Ray was surprized too and as Grif did, he protected his eyes with his arms. He was clever. But he copied him! That's how he felt.

Charizard had closed his eyes so and put his head down and wasn't affected by Psyduck's Hypnosis. But Jolteon was hypnotized and fell in the warm water around her.
    Ray found a solution.
"Charizard... burn Jolteon's tail with a small bolt of fire!"
Charizard raised his head like he was never weak and spat fire on Jolteon's tail just like Ray told him. Jolteon woke up and started growling, hitting her tail on the ground.
    "Oops."

"Charizard, melt the stadium with your flamethrower, starting from that barrier. Once that's done, Jolteon use Thunderbolt at the water!"
Ray waited for his opponent to make a move. Timing was crucial. He saw Charizard's eyes, burning with determination... and he hoped he was doing what he had told him.

He had a great idea. Since he wasn't able to use Discharge because of Charizard, he was going to confuse his foe...

"Charizard close your eyes!" said Ray and he listened. He was sure now he'd confused his enemy, but not for long.

"Jolteon, use Flash! You didn't see that coming eh?" Ray closed his eyes quickly and he heard Jolteon growling and a huge light reflected on the ice Sealeo had made before. Booyah.

    "Charizard just wait..."
"I thought you'd do something like this... but you forget something, Charizard can burn you all up... Also, there's no escape from Discharge!" yelled Ray.

Charizard was feeling too weak to move, so he thought of something to protect him.
    "Jolteon, use Light Screen!"
A wall of light appeared in front of both of Ray's Pokemon.
"And now Jolteon.. just charge yourself up!"
The electricity caused sparks.. which melted the ice around the electric Pokemon. Ray thought that maybe ice wasn't that bad. Jolteon could always jump.
(OCC: Yes true, but anyway harmed. Also, that was a small break ok?)

Charizard was looking hurt and weak too. He couldn't move for the next turn.
It turned his head back to look at Ray. His trainer stared back and send the new PokeBall next to Charizard.

His favourite Pokemon appeared. A healthy female Jolteon ready for combat was splashing in the waters of Swampert's Hydro Pump, full of joy that she had been chosen for battle.

"Jolteon, stand ready..." Jolteon raised the spikes on her fur and let electricity flow in them.
"Charizard... just hold on there buddy." Ray was sad he had to let Charizard rest.

He was sure that Jolteon knew what to do in this situation. It wasn't that bad anyway.
(OCC- that's not fair.. also, it's not true. "Unharmed"? After a slam? Are you serious?)

Ray thought of some ways of saving both of his Pokemon, but there was something wrong going on here. But, there's an idea!
"Charizard... Giga Impact to Psyduck with all your might and speed!" Charizard should dash through the water... he reckoned.

"Swampert, use Earthquake!" Swampert shook the ground with his legs. Charizard was in the air so he wouldn't be hurt. But the other Pokemon...

Ray thought Brine would knock out both of his Pokemon, but that was okay. They did very good. He'd trained them well. He was sure of it.

After the Earthquake hit, Swampert was devasted by Sealeo's Brine and was eventually killed XD defeated. Ray tapped the PokeBall on his belt.
