Anyway, how are you doing recently? I have just returned from the research lab and I am tired. I usually do not sleep well at fall/spring semester, and I feed on coffee in order to survive.

I see, and that's really good to know. I have a friend who is applying for an art college now, and she is getting ridiculously busy. What do you do in your art class? Do you study 3D art or animation?

College can be stressful indeed. I tend to spend the first two to three weeks trying to learn as much as possible. It becomes a lot easier for me to master the courses if I have a good start, and I do not even need to study as hard as before to maintain a grade like A or A-(unless when I have to study for the exams). I can understand why you are exhausted, but depressed? Are you sure sprites somehow makes you depressed? I dunno where the pressure comes from since you are not even showcasing your game to the community. Is someone exerting too much pressure on you?

Well yeah, it seems that there is no way for me to improve with the 3D maker plug-in on photoshop. I may either get a better software or wait for someone else to make 3D graphics for me(even though I'd like to try as much as possible...).

Well honestly I dunno how to use something like a cry editor, but guess the cry editor does make it easier for hackers to create cries for new pokemon. We do not have this many tools to make a fangame, and thats why ROM Hacking is a lot more friendly to n00bs that fangames(even after the pokemon essentials starterkit was released). Are you an art student? Just curious.

Anyway, how is the progress of your fakemon and other sprites? I have completed the scripts of page 1 and page 3 of the D/P pokemon summary screen, I dunno if there is a way to edit such graphics for ROM hackers though. Here is the screenshot:


BTW, I tried my luck on 3D effects on photoshop. It was my first a few attempts, so dont laugh. Do you know how to add 3D effects for 2D images?

That sounds interesting. What do you learn from Basic design? I am required to take C++ this semester as an engineering student, even though I'd appreciate it if I can take Ruby(the scripting language for RMXP and RMVX). I am scripting a new pokemon summary screen now, and perhaps I will give you a screenshot after I am finished.

I see, are you sure you cant find a similar tool from the threads of pokecommunity? It seems that PC is more of a hacking community, I mean, its more famous for its hacks than fangames. It is actually much harder to find resources for fangames...

Are you sure you only have two classes per day? That seems rather impossible, lol. Well I have only two classes for today, but I will be having 4 classes for tomorrow. I am usually free on Tuesday and Thursday, and Monday is the hardest day for me during this semester. Anyway, how are you doing today? Finished any new sprites for your fakemon or other characters?
