lol this is exactly the same thing I have been doing for my game. I used to update my game thread constantly, but now I am focusing a huge operation on it and no update will be posted until I am almost done with this operation. My game thread was closed anyway...

So yeah, it is unfair to judge the progress of a fangame by looking at the number of posts the developer makes on his game thread.

Its sad to know Shiny gold is down, considering it is like the pioneer of pokemon hacks/fangames. It even played a big role in PC's raising to popularity, and I am sure most of the members here wouldnt want to see it die. But anyway, we dont have to question its legacy no matter whether it will ever be completed or not.

I have been busy reconstructing my site and forum recently. A significant reason is that I cant take care of a site and a fangame at the same time, while my fangame is always my top priority. I came out with an idea of merging my forum with two partners, and I will eventually be able to step away from forum management(so I can spend more time on my game). The new community is called Pokemon Mysidia, do you like this name? ^^

For most of us, PC was originally known as a site that hosts Zel's Pkmn Shinygold, which was pretty epic a few years ago. Too bad it is still not completed, but some of us have developed an interest in game development and therefore begun making our own games. There are way too many limitations for ROM hackers, and softwares like RMXP, RMVX actually make our games more customizable. This was why I decided to make a fangame instead of a hack, and it seems that you enjoy the removal of limitations too in game development softwares. I never checked out the old Sotw hack thread, would you mind telling how popular it was before you decided to use RMXP?

Actually the reason why I asked you to gimme a screenshot so that I could compare my maps with yours is that I dont really know how good I am at mapping. Some said my maps look gorgeous, others said they suck. But anyway, I can understand why you wouldnt upload a screenshot of your maps. I know your maps are not made in the same style, and I was just curious to know how they look like.

And yeah, it was indeed an old monitor. lol everyone enjoys attention, it is just a matter of how much they want attention. I dunno why no one is interested in being your pair at this moment. I dont think you have written in your biography that you are already not single in real life, so perhaps you need a pic of yourself to draw attention. Just kidding.

I am sorry to learn that you are always depressed with something in your life. Is this the reason why you get on the internet and seek for a certain degree of relief? I know how terrible the situation is if you are not even optimistic at your future, but at least you have a bf who can cheer you up when you are down, dont you? You will feel a lot better if you look at the bright sides of your life.

The first week of school is now over for me, and I am just tired. Still working on the script, and those undefined or missing functions in Pokemon Essentials kinda drive my crazy.

You are right. We wouldnt have had this many friends, interesting discussions and games/hacks without internet. I remember you were making a hack right from the beginning, so what makes you turn your attention to fangame? Just curious.

I see, it is good to know you are satisfied with your maps. So are you in uploading mood now? Just kidding, you apparently do not have to show me your maps(I am not like your teacher requesting homework from you. ^^). The reason why I'd like to take a look at it is because I want to compare it to my own map and see what I can do to improve. Anyway, how old is the old monitor? Just curious.

And lol I do not mean that you are single in real life, and I never knew until you told me. What I was referring to was pairing, and you will continue to receive random messages from those who desperately need a pair.

Well I do not plan to give you any kinds of lectures at all. I dont think a college student is superior to high school graduates, and even a PHD can not be perfect at everything they are doing. They may be good at science and engineering, but suck at art and literature. I try to be modest so I will see if there is anything I can improve. Anyway, who knows whether you will eventually get a better job experience than those college undergraduates and graduates? But yeah, those stupid job requirement like makes our highschool and college lives a lot more difficult and less entertaining than they could have been.

My school is about the begin next week, and guess I will be extremely busy again. I've got so many things to worry about, and I cant say I am leading a happy life at all. At least you have freedom, and it makes me jealous.
