  • Oh, and yours doesn't know Parabolic Charge yet. :) But I'm guessing it's under Lv.25 by the moveset.

I'll keep that in mind if I have trouble. ;)
I think one of my babies (I have about six or seven untouched 5IVs sitting there now) has Attack as the missing stat, but I may be mistaken. One is missing SpA (it's going out LOL) and I think two are missing Defense. The parents that I used to get this 5IV were a 5IV xx/31/31/31/31/31 and a 4IV 31/31/xx/31/xx/31. I can upgrade this by restoring the 31 in Defense with one of the female babies from the last group, giving a better chance right there of five 31s being selected; if the Attack is randomly skipped (and at some point, it will be), then I have the baby to breed for the best results. Though getting a 6IV to breed it with WOULD be ideal. However, the natures would be the same, so I have to sub in an opposite-nature male (I think I have that too).

We'll see how tomorrow goes. I'm still happy with it, but it could be refined slightly to get an almost guaranteed set of 31s. At least I can guarantee either Timid OR Modest from the two parents however I do it, and I intend to have the option always there.
You're just a little late on that one. See this from the last post before the breeding challenge thread got closed.

    Spoiler:
No, it's MY room...oh, fine, you can have it for today. :P

And...success! But I still have one more phase to complete. I need to get a female from the same breed without a missing 31 in Speed or Speciak Attack (I have males missing either form of Defense specifically, but otherwise 5IV). What I've read is that Timid or Modest are the way to go because those natures boost either of those while only lowering Attack, which keeps their lower Defense stats (compared to some) intact. I've decided I'll give my Modest Ditto a rest and pull it out, and replace it with my Timid one; BTW, I inherited a Ditto factory, I'm only missing Bashful - which doesn't change a thing anyway.

So...once I have a 5IV from the Timid one, I'll train both to learn the same fourth move (undecided, but I'm thinking Parabolic Charge is a nice one), then anyone who later receives the bred babies from these two will have the option of replacing any Egg Moves they don't want. The only thing not there is Camouflage, and I might add it later if there's a request for it, but this one needs an attacking move (Glare paralyzes, Agility improves speed, Electric Terrain changes the field look to an Electric field where nothing can sleep) so I'll pick either Parabolic Charge or something else more powerful, but I like the energy-sucking aspects of that move.
    Progress!

    - 5IV with all but Speed, knows Glare and Agility.
    - 3IV knows Electrin Terrain in addition.

Time to breed the 3IV with a Ditto as I noticed the Egg Moves still carry down (at least from a female with a Ditto). I just need a 5IV covering Speed and I have something for the breeding forum. Think it would serve as a good introduction. :)
I'm working on that 5IV Electric Terrain addition to the contest Helioptile. My goal is to finish it by midnite.

It should be well before. But I'll post a picture. May even have one for trade.
I'll give you two Internetz if you can guess what Bronzong just did...

(I needed another turn anyway, my starting party was way off.)
And, to make matters even worse, the team actually took out my Lv.100 Talonflame in one turn - causing me another tick on the discrepancies against me.

I'm slowly getting pissed. I have them highly over-leveled on purpose and they're forcing me to take too long.
Grouchy? No, just upset that they are able to use moves like Protect on the exact turn you need to nail them on to get a perfect battle. It's like they're taunting you to either take them out early or they're making you take them out later. You will never enjoy your food the way it was meant to be.

Talk about horrible service. LOL Time to take a False Swiper in. It's my first shot at Sushi, and my first actual Le Wow earlier (I checked it out with a weaker party and then reset).

    I'll take a look BTW. :)
ARGH. SCREW YOU RESTAURANT LE WOW AND BUIZEL PROTECT SPAM.

    I just HATE that...

An hour later, at Sushi High Roller...

    DAMN HIPPOWDON AND PROTECT!

    Turn 1: Protect
Turn 2: Aqua Tail (from Mega evolved Blastoise) misses!
    Turn 3: Protect

    FAILURE
I have a Ditto farm (only missing Bashful). Nature wasn't an issue.

I lucked out with Rock Head on the second Relicanth I encountered, which happened to be female. My facepalm was when I bred it for the moves, then while carrying the Eggs saw 87.5%. After swearing slightly, I had to decide whether to play for another female from the 50% Egg rate or level up Wailmer and go for the 20% Egg rate. I do have one male Relicanth with only Agility, and the other with only Brine, because the female didn't turn out.

The Quiet Eggs took a while, due to hatch time, but Ditto got it right eventually with the female on the fifth. I just had to deal with Wailmer from there.

I probably should have tried for a female with one of the moves. It might have been quicker. But then, I might have needed two more females.
