In some songs, it's like the drums; it keeps the same, steady beat throughout the song. Bass is essentially the guitar's big brother.

You haven't? You should try it sometime. I walk to the park and shoot at old pop cans during the spring and the fall. My younger brother (it's his gun) showed me how to shoot properly; I pick up on things fast. I am a far better shot than he is now.

I learned guitar first and can play both relatively well. But not at the same time; :P
Most bass parts in a lot of songs are simpler than the guitar parts; it makes it easier to focus on singing the lyrics well.

It helps that playing bass makes you awesome by default. I wanted to be a drummer, but it's hard to be a lead singer and a drummer. So I picked guitar.

I'm a righty for everything else. It was just an odd realization.

It's snowing right now. It's that sort of light, powdery snow. The view of the light cover of snow in the city is actually quite picturesque.

It doesn't make a difference which hand you use to play if you're standing center-stage. You have to keep in mind that I do most (not all) of the lead vocals. I prefer bass because everyone always wants to play guitar; I'm sure you don't see a whole lot of lead-singers playing bass.

I've played for years without noticing. Wow.
