  • Eh, I still have to criticize golf. I've played it enough to know it isn't that mentally exhausting. In fact, it's downright frustrating! NASCAR is more just racing. I count racing as a category of its own.
    Eh, my dad is pretty harsh when you catch him on some topics, especially sports. He's always been a hard-core Bears and Cubs fan (since he's from the "Chicagoland" area) and tried to at least season me in his mindset. However, we live in a predominantly Packers fan area, so you can imagine his embarrassment when I suddenly started rooting for the Packers due to schoolyard influences as a kid. :P But, I digress...

    The topic of sports has always seemed pretty black-and-white to me. Unless it demands a lot of true physical exertion, I generally write a lot of so-called sports off as more 'activities.' For instance, would you really consider Golf a sport when all you do is silently hit a small ball around a field until you get it in a hole across the way? No, not really... The only time you really do anything physical is when you hit the ball as hard as you can, and that's hardly what I'd call exhausting.
    Ugh I still wish I knew how to competitively battle ;-;

    it'd probably take someone who's willing to teach me IRL tbh
    Oh, good luck in getting one!! :D At least if you get a Snivy or a Servine, you can always evolve it :)
    There are a lot of things I don't count as sports that people call 'sports.' But then, I was raised by Hank Hill, assistant manager-Strickland Propane a father who really doesn't like anyone mentioning things outside of football, baseball, and basketball being sports (though I do acknowledge soccer, archery, and rugby as sports).
    I will! n.n; I'm just so happy right now, and really ever since we talked. Hopefully I'll have a little fair warning and be able to relay everything to you guys. I'm just... totally overwhelmed with all of these crazy swirling feeling, but I know that this is the right thing and I never even thought I was worthy of love in the first place but!! God it's just already such a big deal even though realistically we won't get engaged for a while hahaha.

    But when we do, RL gave me permission to post a celebration thread, so I will be able to officially announce the news to PC!
    Tennis...is considered a "sport" now. XD Just kidding.

    I got out of a lot of sports after high school. I never really participated in anything outside of Phy. Ed, but I did enjoy things like baseball, basketball, and archery. I think I mentioned that once, though.
    Rodriguez, definitely! I'm not sure about an actual price, but I know his cards are worth some kind of money. Again, this is stuff I never really got into. I still keep up with baseball to an extent, but I'm more into playing the game more than anything.
    Drawing a blank... Sorry... I don't keep up enough with baseball to know who the greats are in recent history. I just remember the historical greats like Babe Ruth, Cy Young, and "Shoeless" Joe Jackson.
    I got out of the card collecting racket a while ago. I still have some baseball cards from the 1990s still in their packaging from when I was a kid. When I was younger, I used to like collecting them.
    Oh I saw it by searching for it on Google. All those little Snivys are so cute <33
    Yes, if they're rare enough. Legit Babe Ruth cards go for thousands, not to mention that Cy Young cards can go for tens of thousands (if not millions). Those are extremely rare and highly faked ones, though. There are others too that are more recent, which still fetch a mint.
