I've come to the assumption that every Pokemon you capture actually live at your house, or heck, even in the wild. Poke balls contain the technology to form a link with one Pokemon forever and can transform them into data and transport them to wherever you need them.
Now how such wondrous...
I restart often. There's just some thrill about a fresh save file. Not knowing what your team will look like, seeing them from from tackle/tail whip to epic moves
Gen 1: Obviously the generation that started things. So many iconic Pokemon and memories. Really maxed out that Game Boy hardware. So much detail packed into what you would assume was a tiny world. The thing it did best was lay the groundwork.
Gen 2: Where the series really came into its own...
Trasformers: Revenge of the Fallen is the only movie that actually truly pissed me off. I could literally feel Michael Bay counting money and laughing to himself, "you idiots will watch anything"
Dark, Psychic, Fighting accomplishes the same triangle that Fire, Water, Grass does.
In your scenario Rock gets beaten badly. Poor, predictable Rock.
But I'm not really opposed to changing up long held traditions to shake things up.
I don't see the need for a Kanto game for a good long while. You've been able to visit in four generations.
X/Y was even ripe with Kanto nostalgia. Sleeping Snorlax, choice of Kanto starter, shorts kid etc.
But who am I kidding? If they announced a remake I'd end up buying it.
I thought they should have used Emerald for the basis of some things, like Gym leaders. The Gym leaders in Emerald had much better coverage/more deep teams than in ORAS.
Sad to see trainer customization go.
I was happy with these remakes, though.
I think the time was right for a new type with the addition of Fairy type, it was Pokemon's transition to 3d after all.
But things are balanced enough right now that we don't need any new types for a while.
Self-Destruct and Explosion could also do 50% Normal Physical damage, and 50% Fire Special damage. That could be interesting.
I had the exact same thought about Acid Spray
I mostly liked him. Seemed to be an attempt at an edgy rival without having sociopath tendencies like Silver.
One thing that irked me is even after Team Plasma's plan got all genocide-y he was still talking about Purrloin(!) That was a perfectly fine reason for him to hate Team Plasma, but...
Never really played spinoff games much at all. For the main series I guess I would say Diamond and Pearl. They're the only Pokemon games that feel slow to me even though the gameplay of this franchise isn't exactly high octane. I've never played Platinum, does it fix some of the issues?
I do like it a lot, but this is the internet after all. Time to to critique what I genuinely enjoyed.
- Jane Krakowski's character being native American. I feel like the writers are going to regret this one, potential race issues aside. They're stuck with that now, y'know? It doesn't even make...
