It kills the legendary status imo if a random trainer can own it or use it in battle, or if it can be KO'd by trainers (like Team Rocket did to Zapdos once if I recall) .. Also the befriending ... nah, don't like it. If it's a legendary, it's supposed to be almost unreachable/unfindable imo

I always catch a Pidgey when i'm in Kanto, because Pidgeot's badass and one of my favorite pokés ^^ I was very glad with Swellow on Ruby and Emerald too

Yea, that was very frustrating indeed ... and finding out about HM Flash AFTER going through rock tunnel :/ Oh yeah, and the fact that you couldn't forget TM's, so you're stuck with Cut and Flash for the entire game

FRLG (and the originals): I like to play with all three of the starters, but i mostly pick Charmander RSE: Treecko or Mudkip. I don't know why, but i've never chosen Torchic

I just took a fresh start on Fire Red and chose Charmander, who annihilated Gary's Squirtle with about 3 scratches (yay critical!). I did the whole parcel - Oak thing and received the pokedex and the pokeballs. So, i said goodbye to Pallet Town, and caught a Pidgey on the way to where I am now...
