3rd Gen R/S/E has cool gym leaders? which one are you?

Wallace, just because I love Water-types.

2nd Gen Stat Change Moves in non-competitive

I've always gotten rid of stat changing moves with very few exceptions across all generations. There are some that are obviously worthwhile but generally in-game I go for coverage rather than stat changes.

    Re-design Ash Ketchum!

I definitely think they should have had Ash Ketchum as the protagonist during the first season, then moved on to have him as a supporting character (perhaps as an older rival to the new protagonists) in subsequent seasons. It would have been nice to have some more continuity between seasons...

3rd Gen What is your Favourite City in Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald?

Sootopolis, easily. I loved the fact that it was in a cool location, and I always imagined the people there were kinda just living in their own, isolated world separate from the rest of the world. I also liked the designs of Fortree and Pacifidlog Town.

"You have no gym badges? You must be a total noob!"

Way back in Generation I, I was convinced that there was a set hierarchy of priority moves. Quick Attack was obviously the fastest move, but in my mind, Swift was the next fastest, and so on and so forth. It took me a while before I realized that the priority was based on the Speed of the...

    2nd Gen G/S/C is overrated

I honestly don't think there was really much of a difference between the difficulties of the games. Sure, the levels are lower in Johto, but it's really all relative to the trainers you face--if you're facing lower-level trainers, your party is also going to be low-level, because you're not...

5th Gen Do you think they should've made new evolutions in B/W?

This. I hated most of the evolutions in the fourth generation (with the exceptions of Mantyke and the Eeveelutions, and maybe one or two others), so I'm glad they decided to stop marring my favorite Pokémon. I felt like the glut of extra evolutions in Generation IV was a sign that they were...

What is your favorite non-Handheld Pokemon game?

Pokémon Stadium 1 and 2 without a doubt, followed by Pokémon Snap.

[Weekly Poll #3] Has Pokémon ever significantly impacted your life?

In the sense that it's stolen away a lot of my time, yes. But I'm not sure it's really affected my life outside of that.

    Your Life Companion

Arcanine! What could be more loyal than a dog Pokémon? And what's more awesome than a gigantic dog that you could ride (and that could spit fire on command)? Aside from that, Dragonite or Salamence would also be awesome! I'd love to go for rides through the air. ;)

    Has your favourite Pokemon changed?

My favorites have always been my favorites; I've just added more favorites to them. Unfortunately, most of the Pokémon I've added to my favorites list are Pokémon that I've come to appreciate more over time, not new Pokémon that have just been introduced. There has been a bit of switching...

"This Pokémon is ugly... what's its name again?"

Design is much more important, but the names do matter somewhat to me. For example, I don't really like Leafeon. There's nothing really wrong with its design, but its name was exactly what I came up with when I was 7 years old for a Grass Eeveelution--I should think the grown designers of the...

That one move that you absolutely despise.

Confuse Ray. A 100% accurate confusion move (that also happens to be learned by one of the most prevalent Pokémon in the game)--it can turn what should be an easy win into a 20-turn near-death experience.

    Nostalgia Playthroughs

I don't play through the games just once--I do it dozens of times, as whenever I get bored with one (which usually happens after I beat the game), I just restart it. For me it's about variety, and I've had so many different combinations on each game it's not my team which makes me...
