Well I guess a better question to ask is how many cities/major places do you plan on mapping for one installment?

... 50's-60's is an average pokemon game's length. Unless you're some psychopath that makes the level curve insanely steep for no reason.

Just tested it on a clean rom, everything seems to be working fine. The team wasn't erased so I'm guessing that it's a yes on my side.

Yeah, you should get sq on that. If there are no battles then it would be as simple as removing the flag that activates the party menu screen, although I've never tried it before so I can't vouch for its safety. But in theory, it should be simple.

Well, the puzzles seem fairly simple to script as long as they're not super crazy. Is there a way to change the player's party pokemon to an entire different roster without wiping the original team completely?

Alright, uh, where are the celestial caves? Also, is there any reason why the player is transported into her memories or is this just some elaborate flashback? I mean being gifted an item that looks into the memories of people or something would be neat, that or she's telling the player her story and then as she's starting to tell the story you get transported there like a flashback.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. You gotta be bonkers to make a map out of man-made shapes.

So, like, make a pokeball pretty much with the map...?
