  • I don't think so. But, I have had the misfortune of fighting a Shedinja with Sturdy ability as well as a Metagross and a Tornadus (Therian Forme) both with Wonder Guard. Both the Tornadus and Metagross were hacked to have moves they otherwise couldn't learn (i.e. Sheer Cold and Fissure on Tornadus and Rage Powder on Metagross). The battle was a total nightmare since it was 3 on 3. I had a good team too, which should've kicked his team's butt. However, Rage Powder kept me from hitting the guy's other two Pokémon... >.> (This is the same guy I fought the other night, btw... I don't think he was using hacks this time, but I didn't think he was smart enough to concoct a real strategy without them like he did...)
Well, it's an easy one to tell since it activates right away. It's also a pretty common Pokémon used in the Metagame, to my knowledge. I actually battled a guy a couple nights ago who had a shiny Ninetales with Dought... Suffice it to say, I didn't win because that was the focal point of his strategy. Actually, I'm a little PO'd about it because I know that the guy likes to cheat (or at least used to, since he admitted to using hacks when we used to battle with our Gen V games).
And thanks for the Drought Ninetales! That's another Pokémon I actually try to breed with good movesets.
That's what makes them tactical moves, in some sense. I have had surprising results with Future Sight in Random Matchup, wherein using it two turns ahead of time ended up saving me from a Pokémon that would've otherwise massacred my team.

Well, in any case, are you still online with your game? I've got the Vivillion ready.
Alright, then. It's terribly effective against other Fairy-types, in-game anyways. I don't know if it has any practical use online, but I enjoy using it against Valerie in rematches against her at the Battle Chateau.
If you give me a few minutes, I'll evolve one for you. I'll take anything, I'm not going to be picky. Coincidentally, would you like me to breed you a Ralts with Synchronoise? I happened to get a male one with the move and I've been exploiting the fact that it knows it like crazy. I'm surprised how freaking powerful it is now that it's got a power rating of 120.
Polar. Basically a bluish one with white speckles on the wings. I was starting to collect them, but I kind of stopped when I started only getting Purple ones via wonder trade and GTS. I got an orange-ish one from a while ago, but it's dex entry calls it "high plains" instead of continental. If you want a Polar one, I can give you one. It may take a little bit to evolve a Scatterbug, though.
That was a fun battle. Hope you like the Pokémon I traded you. I actually needed a Female Chespin, so that helped me out a lot! I tried to offer stuff I thought you'd like. The Zorua was sort of a leftover from my attempts at Masuda Method breeding, and I wasn't sure if you were collecting Vivillion, so I offered up a Japanese one just in case (I actually have a few of them, and for some reason I keep getting the same purple kind over Wonder Trade... >.>).
    Yep.

In other news, I've been kind of avoiding online battling lately, since I heard some hacked Pokémon got through via the Japanese version of Pokémon Bank. However, if you've got time to battle in the near future, let me know because I want to try out my new-ish team.
It got up to 22-degrees today, so yes. Well, it was starting to warm up yesterday, but the "polar vortex" didn't move out completely until last night so it was still pretty cold with the wind chill.
So, after two weeks of monkeying around, I finally figured out what was causing my new laptop to do all kinds of sporadic downloads. Aside from automatic updating things, it turns out that Windows 8 is designed to download a bunch of stuff for apps unless you actually switch the network settings to "metered connection mode," which turns off all the downloads for apps.

So, how have you been doing lately?
I don't think there's a difference between the Wii and 3DS games, but yeah, the first bonus level was nuts. DKC games always had absurd ones like that, though. The SNES ones were just as wild.
I think I fixed the issue. Anyways, I got Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, Etrian Odyssey Untold, Donkey Kong Country Returns, and Pokemon Y.
Mine was pretty good. I got four new games (three for the 3DS and one for my Wii). Also, I got a new HP Pavilion laptop. It's a huge upgrade from my last one, an HP Compaq Presario that I've had since 2009. I think I finally got it setup the way I like it. My only issue was that it kept wanting to download a bunch of updates right away when I got online the first few times (which isn't a huge problem, but my Internet's based on a monthly data allowance, so I can't have it downloading things sporadically like it was).
