  • Those are just outlines, but yes, I agree that I need to put a little more work into projects. I did finish Oposeteer and I'm still working on Mangle's pic. Actually, I just added some more details to it so it doesn't look so plain. I'm now coloring it so it has full foreground/background.
I just hope you plan on using it again this year! :P and you and I can collab on Santa Snivy and Santa Serperior :)
Please tell me you still have that Santa Serperior avatar you made, that was the best avatar I saw last year, really! :P
Softness in the graphite mostly. No.2 pencils are generally considered "hard," where as B-series ones have a gradient scale of softness that effects how the lines appear when drawn. 3B is considered medium and somewhat comparable to No.2s, while 8B is considered extra soft and sort of grainy. I want to say the graininess leaves a nasty dust trail, but this isn't the case. Some examples I'm working on: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/15008594/ <-Outlined in 3B; http://www.furaffinity.net/view/15035808/ <-Doorway outlined in 8B. I like the effects of both really. Aside from less blurriness from erasing, the varied softness gives it sort of a nice hazy effect that gives the outlined part a nice crude feel. It doesn't feel all mechanically drawn. I still need to finish the second pic, but I still say it's a huge improvement over my old drawing kit.
Well, I did get a new drawing kit last week. :3 I'm pretty happy with it because I have actual drawing pencils now instead of the plain No.2 pencils I'd been using to this point. The graphite dust doesn't spread all over the place with these when I erase parts of unneeded outlining, so it doesn't blur like it did with my old stuff when I scan things. I've already done a few pics (including a redrawn sketch of my Oposeteer design and a pic of Mangled from Five Nights at Freddy's 2 that I'm still working on).
Heya! Been a while since I heard from you, Nolafus, so I thought I'd drop you a line. How have you been lately?
I'm half and half on that movie really. There were parts I liked and parts I didn't. It certainly wasn't Will Smith's best flick, that's for sure.
    YU-GI-OH! :P

Yeah, sounds somewhat like what PMD-GtI was like. Biohazard kind of had its roots in a show called "Life After People," wherein scientists speculated what future Earth would be like if humans suddenly vanished. Also, I do have some indirect correlation with the movie "After Earth," though my fic actually predates that movie. Still, I thought a post-apocalyptic fic where Pokémon have to deal with the aftermath of human experimentation was pretty interesting, even though I never finished the story.
That's the gist of it. PMD worked on several different ideas with each gen: Gen 3-Humans were absent from the world, and possibly went extinct with how there were off-branching ruins that served as Friend Areas for Pokémon you added to your team (that's sort of how I based Biohazard in a world where Pokémon knew that humans existed long ago and that they went extinct; the prospect being that remnants of human civilization plagued the new world in the form of Doxisite and Doxinox, two manmade Pokémon that disappeared centuries beforehand but suddenly came back unexpectedly), Gen 4 mentioned humans existing in a forlorn future, but there was no explanation about where they were in the present where the story took place (in fact, the only human in the game was the player character and he got turned into a Pokémon after a mishap during time travel), and Gen 5 had it set so that humans and Pokémon existed in separate worlds with Pokémon world only dismissing humans as myth (I loved the whole "Link Between Worlds" concept, both in that game and Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. They were two different concepts, though, but very fun nonetheless). I'm enjoying the RP's setting, though. It really gives me a lot of chances to exercise my Ninetales character Osiris, an 800-year-old sorcerer who's insight is so great that he's considered an oracle of sorts.
Just basic proofreading. I liken them more to logs than an actual story. The RP's not canon for either of our worlds, mine being PMD/Biohazard and his being a realm hidden away where sentient toys can live peacefully. For some reason it actually seems to gel pretty well, considering my world is devoid of human wherein his has them still existing. I kind of tweaked my own so my characters were aware of human existence, but were generally told to keep away from them to keep with the PMD theme of humans being absent from the Pokémon world. ...this...makes no sense to you, does it...?
srry, it's just that i use my ds, and viewing this now on a computer, i see what you mean. I'll get some more on sometime.
Heh, this RP's really going long and strong. Well, we were talking about making edits and posting it as an ongoing story. It's not my normal caliber of writing, but it's decent enough to where I wouldn't mind doing that. At the moment, though, I'm not about to go through and Copy/paste everything just so I can upload it. My partner said he'd do it, but he's also been busy this week, so I haven't been pushing it.
That's fine. I understand that completely.

Yeah... Well, I knew right away it was going to be an 'inflation' RP, but I didn't expect us to be going at it for almost two-three weeks straight. There isn't a defined plot, but we are kind of thinking about posting it as a story when we're done. ATM, we're a little stalled because the other guy's busy. But, I feel a little bad because I think I think I may've threw off the momentum by inserting one wild, seemingly random part. I don't know how to describe it any way that makes sense, but in a nutshell, I have a religious Ninetales OC named Osiris whom I'm RPing as at the moment, his characters are all living toys, Osiris brought his daughter and her friend to visit them at the behest of my other OC Seraph, they all got turned into toys too, Osiris doesn't have the air of a playful guy, then suddenly after dinner he wanted to play with a living Ampharos balloon whom he offered himself up as a toy to, and Osiris popped when the Amphy blew him up too much. XD Okay, if that sounds crazy, it probably is. The prospect is that popping is just the same as fainting, but I pulled a stunt where Osiris suddenly regained his normal form after casting a reversal spell on himself (Osiris himself is sort of a sorcerer).
Whenever you're free/have interest to do so. ;) At the latest I'd like the article out by the following weekend to keep some activity going. It's starting to come together which is good.
Oh I remember, and it in fact helped me with formatting of a paper I did for a class this semester (which got a 100). I just didn't think you'd go around to others telling them that you helped out someone who got the highest score in their class on their first essay LMAO
I'm not the essay kind of person, nor did I have an overall stellar experience with my English professor in the first semester of being a college student :P
