  • I traded my DSi in for the 3DS, even though it's cheaper now I still got a decent price, I'm just waiting for games to be released, primarily Mario Kart 7 & Pokémon Rumble Blast both coincidently released 2nd Dec.

    I don't think I'll get a 3DS. Mainly because I can't afford it, lol.

    3DS, it's pretty much expensive here in our country, so I wouldn't be able to afford one. But who knows, someone might give it for me as a present or for free. :'D

  • I heard it was cheap in Australia too, I might ask mum for an early birthday present.
    I have to recheck JBhifi though

    Really?

    It costs around 250 euros over here. I prefer saving these money for bills. Oh look, the internet bill came by today; 50 euros.

    Roughly estimating, 250 euros is 350 USD... and 50 euros are 70 USD. I guess you can see now how the 3DS here is not cheap.

    I don't really care to get a 3DS. My DS has worked since 2003, or whenever I got it and I have no need to replace it. :)

    (It also stayed on for 36 hours w/o going red :x)

  • Oooh Kura where are you going in Europe? Also what do you mean region locked - I can't play USA roms? ;__;

    Horsham England if everything pans out well. And yeah that's what region-locked is. If I have an American 3DS and I buy a game in a European Games store.. it wont work on my handheld.

    Dumb or what, huh? >_>.. At least my DSLite isn't region-locked.

    I was thinking of holding out because nintendo always seems to make a better "second edition" of their handhelds.. I didn't know if I should wait for that one.. :/ But if they make it worse like they did with the PS3 not being able to play PS2 games then.. I'd have hated to have missed my chance. I know the 3DS is terrible for DS games because it upscales them.. but like.. I don't want to be like "Damn I can't buy the north american console from the uk" or "they stopped this feature on them!" or whatever..
    :/ Siighhh..

    Truality: They were crazy expensive here. But they had a huge price-drop: $169.99

    I got a little bit of allowance, so that's the reason. Plus, I only get a huge amount of money whenever my aunt comes and visits.

    idek why i bought dat DSi anymore. ;;

    Getting a 3DS is within my budget, I think. The possible R/S/E remakes might convince me enough.

    Lucky you, and that's another disadvantage of having 3DS, if you don't have much money you wouldn't be able to afford games for it! D: .. So still ..

    That's strange... Last time I checked, wasn't there already a global price drop? If it still costs €250, well... something seems to be very wrong.

  • Waitwaitwaitwaitwait... the 3DS is region-locked? Dammit! There goes my sneaky plan to buy a 3DS for cheap when I go to the US next year. Now I'll just have to wait until it goes down in price for real. Stupid, expensive UK...

  • 3DS has been pretty useless to me and I got it a few months after its release. Hasn't been any 3DS games I've wanted really, though I was able to access wifi with it for Pokemon Battles and such. I eagerly await the release of 3D mario kart, to give me a reason to wipe the dust of my 3DS ¬_______¬
