  • Someone already pointed out the 'Use Kurt's balls' joke.

I'll use the Heavy Ball most probably, mainly on Legendaries and the like.

    Thanks GymLeaderLily!

What does the level, love and moon ball help you in? I'm guessing the level ball helps you get higher leveled Pokemon?

Well heres a direct list of what they do, but in short the Level ball increases in usefulness the higher of difference in levels between your pokemon and the wild one (you being higher than it is more helpful, being lower is less helpful)

Love balls allow for captures of pokemon of the opposite Gender to Eight times the capture rate of a normal pokeball, making it one of the most powerful balls.

Moon Ball has a Four Times advantage when used on a pokemon that evolves with a moon stone (like Clefairy or Nidorina)

    Thanks!

Nuts, too bad legendaries have no gender. =( Besides Latios and Latias I think...

The Moon Ball honestly sounds really pointless. One ball for two Pokemon that can already be easy to catch? Why not make a ball that catches normal types easier or something. =P

  • I'll definitely stock up on Heavy Balls for the bigger Legendary Pokemon, and I'll probably pick up a few Love Balls, Lure Balls, and Level Balls for later in the game when I'm trying to catch Pokemon to fill out my Pokedex. It never hurts to be prepared!

Moon Balls were kinda useless, back in GSC. I used them primarily as my "last resort" pokeballs, once I ran out of everything else, I started throwing out Moon Balls.

    And they worked! :D

Actually it has a high catch rate for 5 pokemon. Clefairy, Jigglypuff, Nidorino, Nidorina, and Skitty. Since they evolve with Moon Stones. While 2 of those are worthless, CLefairy, Skitty and Jigglypuff do have low encounter rates and are considered rare. So the ball is good for when you go on a specialized catching spree.

Good point, but it still doesn't feel worth getting the balls for.

I loved using fast balls in Silver so I'll probably try and get them from Kurt. Might also consider heavy balls since they could be of good use for me.

  • If I remember correctly, we are going to have to go some man named Kurt? I think that's correct. And if it is, then, wow, I remember G/S/C VERY well.
I'm sure to use all of these cool Pokeballs.

  • The Heavy Ball I think will be the most useful, especially because of Groudon. I'm sure it's heavier than Kyogre, and since I'm getting Soulsilver, that'll be helpful. :)
