4th Gen D/P/Pt Monotype Challenge

[Fire Wolf]

Hey guys, since every other game had a monotype challenge and D/P/Pt didn't have one, so I decided to create one :D

Rules:
1) You need to defeat the Elite 4 to complete this challenge
2) HM Slaves are allowed
3) Starter is allowed if it falls underneath your type. If it doesn't, you may play with it until you get the first pokemon of your type
4) Secondary types are allowed (say you're using the Flying type, and you want to use Drifloon, you can use it)
5) Please update actively
6) This is not a race. Races are for losers.
7) No trading except for evolutionary reasons
8) You must get one pokemon of your type before getting out of Eterna Forest. (if you're using a type where you can't get a pokemon before getting out of Eterna Forest, you may ignore rule 7 and trade a pokemon of that type).
9) No legendaries
10) The desire to have fun :D
11) Emulators are allowed
12) Multiple people may take one type at the same type

I so want to do this, but i cant restart my platinum, as it holds to many teams,
and my pearl is link to my pokemon ranch.
if only i could find my brothers diamond :|

Ok, I'll add you. You'll have to trade an egg or a level 5 pokemon to your game for Dragon :).

I'd like to try Houndour for Dark, though sence I using Pearl, it looks like I might have to trade from Platinum. Hope thats Ok.

Edit: Question. What if a pokemon evolves into the chosen type, but isn't part of the chosen type without evolution? Would we still be able to catch it? Like Skorupi into Drapion.

Yes, you can use Skorupi since it evolves into Drapion, a part-Dark type.

Platinum > Dark

As you don't really find a Dark Pokemon for awhile. I was wondering if someone could trade me a FEMALE (If possible) Absol.

I will then pick up 2 other Darks (Possibly Umbreon and would Houndour count?) if not, I'll find another.

If someone can get me an Absol, that'd be great. If not, I'll switch to Fire.

and if i understand this correctly i can only fight with that one pokemon but i can have others on my team for hm reasons and not for battle?

That would be a solo-type challenge.

You can have however many FIRE types on your team to BATTLE. Even if it's Fire/Fighting or Fire/- , as long as Fire is the dominate type, you can use them in battle. You're not limited to the number of that type on your team. But no, you cannot use HM slaves in battle unless they are that type.

Yeah you can use any type with it as long as its a Fire type.Here's an example

Go to wear you trade in PC and then will be able to trade together.

I'll have to start a brand new file though and get a new FC =/
