I managed to pick one up quite early from my Totodile at the bottom of Mountain Road. I was quite suprised really.
Anyway, good luck finding a Shiny Leaf!

Well, if you collect 5 on 1 Pokemon, you can go to Lyra/Ethan and they will make a Leaf Crown for that Pokemon, boosting their happiness I believe AND earning you another star on your Trainer Card.

Just a word to the wise, when it shows a red Exclamation point( ! ), then dances in a circle, then has a green music note, you have found a shiny leaf

A few minutes I began looking for them and I've already found one. This Pokémon fonds items frequently so it might won't be that hard...

I used a Max Repel, brought out my Careful Snorlax on Route 7, and ran around like an idiot. Within 5 minutes, I had found a Shiny Leaf!

EDIT: Strike that; went out onto Route 8 and got another one! I love this; its so easy!

The first day I played Soulsilver I found a shiny leaf. My Mareep picked it up and I had no idea what it was so I just stuck it on her. I haven't found any others since then though.
