PC's Black and White Release Tournament [semi-finals in progress]

Welcome to PC's Black and White Release Tournament!

This event is to celebrate the release of the latest generation of Pokémon games, Black and White! The tournament will begin Friday, March 25th, and continue through Sunday, March 27th.

To join, simply post in this thread saying which division you'd like to join, and what your Friend Code (casual) or Pokémon Online username (competitive) is.

There will be two separate divisions of the tournament, casual and competitive. You may only join one of these based on your skill level.

Both tournaments will follow the same format. Everyone will start with zero points. You are free to battle anyone in your division, gaining two points for a win and losing one point for a loss. However, there are a few guidelines:

- You may only battle the same person five times.
- You cannot refuse a challenge from another battler, unless you have already battled that person in your previous match. In the case of Pokémon Online, you also cannot be challenged if you are idling.
- You cannot lose points for more than two consecutive losses. You also cannot have a negative point total.
- You need to post the results of your battle in this thread.

At the end of this free-battling round, the top four battlers in each division will battle for first, second and third place. The first seed will battle the fourth seed, and the second seed will battle the third. The winners of each of these matches will battle for first and second place, and the losers will battle for third place.

This division is for players with no competitive battling experience and are more familiar with in-game play. Unfortunately, Black and White no longer have the wifi battling feature that rounds all of your pokemon to level 50. Instead, it will only round a pokemon's level down to 50 if it is at a higher level. All casual battles will take place using this level 50 battling mode. Make sure your pokemon are well trained before entering!

The casual tournament will be held over Wi-Fi. Singles, doubles, triples, and rotation battles are allowed.

This division is for competitive players who have experience with online battle simulators. All battles will follow the standard clauses and banlist. Additionally, current suspects are also banned from use, located here. The competitive tournament will be held on PC's Pokémon Online server.
