    Yeaaahhh! Sign-Up, I choose YOU!

    Name: Anthony "Ant" Highgate
    Age: 18
    Gender: Male
Personality: Childish is a good word to describe Anthony. His mind had some problems throwing off the child within during the years of puberty, and it shows. He'll often balance on the edges of pavements, walk around with leaps and bounds, and do things that those around him would feel very embarrasing (and indeed his friends pretend not to know him when he improvises a dance to a song he likes). Nevertheless, Anothony's mind is floating betweeen child and adult mode in many fields.

He generally acts kindly to people: Often smiling, quite the guy to crack a joke once in a while, and always willing to lend a hand to other. He is generous and loyal towards his friends, as one of his greatest fears is being all alone. His childish and eccentric behavior often makes others stay away from him, and Anthony knows it. When he makes new friends, he clings on to them to the desperate point. In addition, he has a strong sense of justice and does not like to see wrongdoings take place. When he thinks he has offended someone he always feels terribly guilty about it, and if he does not reconsile in some way, it will haunt him for moths and even years. He has a tendency to shudder violently if a particularly unwanted memory touches his mind. But he is far from perfect: Anthony does not apply the same rules of morality to everyone he meet.

Anthony has a bad habit of taking to likings and dislikings with his first impression of people. He can be very staunch on it if he has decided to like/dislike someone, and he often does so in spite of the persons attitude towards him and others. His temper also flares up almost childishly fast at insults, and he tends to bear grugdes towards people for small things, most frequently that they are better than him in some way. He is an envious guy. But he manges to hide it pretty well, and usually keeps it to think out stupid schemes of revenge that he never sets in motion.

Anthony has an odd form for charisma. His impression of many people is that they look up to him, perhaps because he is very knowlegdeable- in some fields, that is. Like snakes. And psychic Pokémon. And he is not stupid at all, he works hard, he is in fact quite intelligent- but he lacks in common sense. His memory is not too sharp when it comes to remembering things he should do, while it can be crystal clear when it comes to reciting books, for example. He loves music His social intelligence is rather low, and when it comes to reading people he is an analphabet. Make no mistake- he wants friends. More than anything else. But his above average ego and eccentric behaviour often gets in the way.

    Appearance:
Anthony stands almost six feet tall, but that is hard to see as he almost never stands straight. His build is nothing to brag of; Anthony is very thin. His arms are long, and his elbow joints are bulit so that his arm always straigthens while resting on something. He has a large chest that seems a bit out of place, he has gained it by playing brass instruments for nine years. His legs are oddly shaped, with pretty powerful thighs and frail legs. His hands have very visible knuckles and is always fiddling with something. His fingers are thin and of average length, with poorly cut finernails. His feet is the most average things on his body.

Sitting on top of his pretty long neck, his head is covered with neck-long, wavy hair the color of milk chocolate. His face is neither round nor thin, and the skin is very flexible, making Anthony an expert at faces. The most glaring feature of his face is its non-symmetry. The left side of his hawk-nose has an eye like a full-moon, while the left side has a sunken, almond one. They are brown and green. Anthony has thick bown eyebrows, one linear and one like a wave. His face has few pimples, but fairly low shaving skill gives him some minor facial hair. He has a slight overbite.

Anthony dresses in comfortable clothes. He wears blue or purple sweaters, plum is his favourite colour. Under his sweater he wears short-sleeved shirts, preferably snow-white or lime green. In rough weather he wears a blue jacket with wavecrest motifes.
On his legs he wears jeans or trousers, brown or coal black. He has a taste for socks with bright colours, often with intricate patterns. He has a pair of well-used, cream-white soft shoes that he uses in almost all kinds of weather. In rain, however, a pair of green boots often does the job. He uses white and blue gloves and a black, battered fedora hat he got from his parents at his 15th birthday. He keeps his stuff in a plum-colored backpack.

History: Anthony was raised in a large home in Verdanturf town. He lived in a large house with a large garden, and he had two dogs as well as two sisters. As such, it was akways much to do, and he was always busy doing something. He also had a father who tried to push his meanings into his son. He did not succeed, but he did make his son a bit weak-willed. Anthony wanted friends, but he made few at school. he was often teased by the other kids and got a bit recluse.

After finishing school he wanted to undertake a trainers journey, as he'd seen so many of his friend reveling with joy when in company with their Pokémon. His parents took a long time to persuade, but they eventually let him go and gave him his first Pokémon as well: A Yanma. Anthony was overjoyed and made close friends with it as they ventured out to the journey of their life.

However, when he just had gotten his second gym badge in Dewford, he realised that something was wrong ith his Yamna. It loved him and was willing to do almost anything for its trainer, but what it really wanted was to be free. At first, Anthony was not willing to part with his friend, but after two days he gave in, and after a long, sad goodbye he released the Yanma. He has never comed over this particular loss, but he quickly got himself a new partner; this time a Meditite. He is determined to learn from it's calm nature. Eventually he got back home for his 15th birthday and recieved his beloved fedora hat as the welcome home gift. But he didn't stay for long. He had grown restless, and his parents knew it as well. One day he larned of the opening of the new Jotho league and immediately wanted to participate. He packed his trunk and sat off without a word to his parents.

Pokémon: Melvin the male Meditite. Anthony stumbled over it in the caves near Dewford while lamenting the loss of his Yanma. He was facinated by it's tranquillity and decided that he could do good learning something fom it. When it initially avoided him, he decided to catch it. It was a rather simple task, as it was too absorbed in its meditation when Anthony's Pokéball came flying.

At first it was offended by this rash intrusion, but now they have built a strong relationship. They regard each others as teachers, Anthony as a student of tranquility, Melvin as a student of power. Melvin is calm and loyal, but likes to win a bit too much.

Pokémon Registration: A Hoenn water type, pretty please.

  • Name: Hakan Banks

    Age: 19

    Gender: Male

Personality: Hakan has always been a protective person, feeling strong bonds with his friends and people he meets he grows accustomed to trying to keep them out of trouble and harms way. He had always been this way since he was ten years old. He can get hot headed when someone talks down to him; he is used to being the oldest and doesn't like being second place. But he is a nice person. When he learns to trust you he will try and protect you and help you no matter what.

Appearance: Tall with short spiky brown hair, his chin and jaw is covered in stubble. His eyes are dark hazel and his voice is deep. He wears a high collared leather jacket with a red hooded jumper underneath. He has dark baggy jeans and white trainers. He has a small tunnel in his left ear.

History: Hakan grew up in the orange islands. Since then he had been obsessed with water pokemon. He worked in a small pearl diving business with his mother and father. He had never been interested in being a pokemon trainer. He was too interested in pleasing his father and running the business when he retired. When he was twelve, his mother passed away. That day changed his whole life. His father stopped caring about everything, leaving Hakan to look after the pearl diving business on his own. His clumsiness lead him to falling overboard the tiny wooden boat. A small totodile saw him struggling in the water and helped him back into the boat. Hakan thanked the small pokemon and started to drive back to the shore. But the little blue reptile swam in the surf of the boat and followed him back to the house. Hakan decided to keep the Totodile. Upon arriving back to the house he found the small wooden door open. Inside the house he found a note from his father saying he couldn't live in the orange islands anymore. He left him a small lump of money in an envelope and that was all.
Hakan learnt to live on his own for a year on the small island. Until he became sick of being alone. He packed a small rucksack and packed the boat and headed to the Kanto region. He will never forgive his dad and has spent the last four years searching for him and while he was at it challenged the gyms in the Kanto region.

Pokémon: Totodile (Nickname: Jaws) Totodile never evolved during Hakan's journey, but Hakan never minded. He is a sweet friendly pokemon but can get hot headed when he gets irritated or insulted.

Pokémon Registration: A water one from hoenn please!

Hakan scowled and drew his leather jacket over his eyes to stop the scorching sand to get in his eyes.

"Connor stop it! Don't you see what you are doing?" he roared as he knelt down to grab the terrified cyndaquil who was cowering on the floor.

Connor merely grinned. He flicked a hand to the Flygon, signaling him to stop. The large pokemon stopped hurling the sand around and landed on the ground with a soft thud.

"You asked me to show you how powerful I have become. So I will." He laughed from deep within his throat.

"But not like this!" Hakan pointed a finger accusingly at Connor. "You've changed, what happened to you?"

Connor showed no emotion on his face.

    "I became stronger…"

  • Wow, the interest level in this post skyrocketed! Finally got my sign-up done.

    Name: Elian Randor
    Age: 19
    Gender: Male
Personality: Elian is not the sort of person that is easy to make friends with. Perhaps partially due to his upbringing as an only child, he is a bit of a loner and tends to become annoyed when other people try to strike up a conversation with him, although he is generally not rude about it. This reticence to form relationships does not extend to animals or Pokémon, however, as even before he began his journey his Growlithe was always by his side, and he managed to form bonds with the other Pokémon he used in his previous adventures. His father's unscrupulous business practices contributed to Elian's slightly skewed sense of morality, for while he won't hesitate to go out of his way to help someone even if he doesn't know them, he also won't think twice about stepping on another person if it will help him to advance his career, unless by doing so he was putting the other person in danger. As an only (and often seemingly ignored) child who hated being sedentary, Elian naturally gravitated towards sports in school, namely sports such as running and swimming that required minimal amounts of teamwork, and he found himself to be quite good at them; he also turned out to be extremely competitive—he won't cry or be angry about losing, or, indeed, allow his opponent to see any real emotion in him at all, but he will work harder and harder to "avenge" his loss and to prevent it from happening again, as he hates losing. He is always up for a new challenge, and his previous successes lent him a lot of confidence that he will be successful in any endeavor, and this attitude can be irksome to others. His emotions are reserved and kept to himself, as he hates to allow anyone to see his unflappable demeanor falter, which could lead some to perceive that he lacks any real emotion at all.

Despite his seemingly implacable manner, it's not impossible to penetrate the social wall he has surrounding himself, although it's a feat that precious few, either in his high school or in his journeys, have been able to accomplish, and it definitely doesn't happen overnight. It even took him a long time to get used to any other Pokémon but Growlithe, but once he did, he began to find it easier and easier; he just hasn't learned (and hasn't really wanted to learn) to transfer that over to dealing with people. He focuses completely at the task at hand and demands total focus from his Pokémon, as well, and they have been all-too-happy too oblige.

Appearance: Elian is average height, about 5'11", and he has a lean, athletic frame that has been toned and toughened through his years of sports and traveling through the wilderness. There's nothing really remarkable about his appearance, save perhaps his piercing brown eyes. His skin is lightly tanned from being in the sun for some time, but he has never been able to develop a full-on tan (nor has he really cared). He generally wears nondescript, practical clothing so as to avoid standing out—dark athletic shorts and a light colored T-shirt in the summer to deflect some of the heat, and he wears his dark brown hear cut short and generally lets it just go where it will without paying any real attention to it unless it should get in his eyes. He can also frequently be seen wearing sunglasses and sandals in the summer, although occasionally he will go barefoot. When traveling, he will wear a normal dark green backpack with many pockets so that he can organize the items he utilizes along the way.

History: Elian was born and raised in Viridian City…well, not raised in the traditional sense of the word, as he practically had to raise himself. His parents were always busy; his father was the founder and CEO of Randor Corp, a rival to Silph Co, and he was constantly away on business trips or vacations or even just in his office scheming about ways to get the better of his rivals. The very picture of an unscrupulous businessman, Tash Randor was ruthless and greedy, caring little about anything except for expanding his corporate empire by any means necessary. Countless corporations were bankrupted by his underhanded tactics, and he even formed ties with underground gangs such as Team Rocket to get ahead in his world. Even his choice of marriage was a shrewdly calculated choice made to impress and intimidate other billionaires, and he cared little for the fact that this resulted in a loveless marriage. Carrie Randor was a former supermodel who still retained the looks she had had in her prime, and she knew very well how to work the high-class social circles. She was smarter than most in her position and was very aware of the fact that she was, for all intents and purposes, a trophy wife, but the fact did not faze her one bit. She was in it for herself, for being a billionaire's wife did afford her many luxuries that she otherwise wouldn't have been able to access, and so she was perfectly content in scratching Tash's back as long as he scratched hers.

Elian did learn from his parents…but they were not lessons that are usually considered desirable for children to learn. Both of them were cunning and shrewd, and self-advancement was the only thing they desired or cared for, and as Elian grew up watching his father's unprincipled plots and his mother's unapologetic use of her looks and her status to get ahead, he gained the impression that it was always like that, that it was always okay for people to advance themselves at the expense of others, and this is a mentality that he still carries in some form today. Early on in his life, his father took an interest in him as a potential way to carry on his legacy, but while Elian proved to be an intelligent child and a quick learner, he just wasn't interested in pursuing a business career, and Tash wasn't willing to waste his time on someone else, even his own son. So he left Elian to his own devices, gave him a big allowance and put him under the care of the butler for homeschooling, and Elian grew to be very self-reliant as he learned to care for his own needs, only calling upon the butler when there was something he absolutely couldn't do for himself. He was able to purchase virtually whatever he wanted, but he quickly grew restless of the luxurious life and asked his father if he could go to a public school and try out for sports. His father, now totally immersed in his business, did not care, and so Elian finally came into contact with other kids his own age on a regular basis.

Needless to say, as he had transferred in at the age of 14, he lacked the necessary social skills to really fit in among the kids at the school, and he really didn't want to interact with them anyway. He did the work quietly and got good grades in school, but he really didn't care for anything except for the ability to do sports. He tried out first for football but decided he didn't like it, even though he did well in it, but he found himself immersed in the individual sports such as cross country, track, and swimming. While there was definitely a sense of team camaraderie even within those highly individualized sports, Elian was able to avoid it much easier and just focus on his own progress. When he found himself near the end of the group on their practice runs or swims, he spurred himself to work harder and practiced on his own outside of the official practices so he could get better faster, and soon he found himself competing with the top athletes in each sport. His competitive nature was fully evident in his willingness to go above and beyond in order to beat his teammates, and his coaches capitalized upon his determination to push their team far in official competitions, once even making it to the Kanto Regionals during Elian's senior year of cross country—a big feat for a small school. Elian's coaches were the first people who managed to break through his social wall, as he grew to trust their advice and eventually even to trust them as people, and they instilled in him a true love of being active and in competing, and, of course, in winning. There were some others in his four years of high school that managed to break through that barrier, but they were few and far between, and all had to really make a concerted effort before Elian would come to regard them as friends.

Elian's true best friend, however, showed up when he was 17 and halfway through his senior year of high school. One day, as he returned home from school, he noticed something duck into his backyard, and as he went to investigate he discovered a lone Growlithe pup, scared and hungry, and Elian, who had never owned a pet before, was instantly drawn to the little creature. For one of the first times in his life, Elian went out of his way to help another being on the planet, and even though it was just a baby Pokémon, that one act of kindness sealed away any chance he had of ever becoming like his father. He gave the Growlithe food and sheltered it in his room, keeping it hidden from his parents for a very good reason: Growlithe were not usually encountered around Viridian City, and Elian was well aware of his father's dealings with Team Rocket and that it was all-too-likely that this little Pokémon was an escapee from Team Rocket's network of moving rare Pokémon. He kept it to himself, raising it on his own until it became strong, and he occasionally went on camping trips alone in the Viridian Forest with it. There, Growlithe got its nickname, Timber, as it would use its Fire-type attacks to heat up the timber Elian brought.

As Elian graduated from high school (at the age of 17—his birthday was later in the year), he began to realize that he really did not want to live this existence any longer, and his butler, another of the few who had managed to breach the social barrier, encouraged him to take up the Kanto Pokémon League Challenge. Elian jumped at the chance to get away from his father's house and to adventure out in the wild, and he set out almost immediately on his own with Timber, though he still did care enough for his parents that he asked their permission (which they were all too happy to give) and bid them farewell. He never truly intended to go back.

Elian traveled through the region of Kanto with Timber at his side. He had his share of setbacks, but overall he proved to be a competent trainer and was a rising star in Kanto Pokémon battle circles. He worked his way through 8 gyms, his competitive nature and his determination combining to ensure that he never lost twice to the same opponent, and his Growlithe and his other Pokémon grew tough and battle-ready. By the time he made it to the Indigo Plateau Conference, Elian was considered a prime contender for the title, but while he made it past the preliminary rounds, he was defeated in a tough battle in the top 16. Many analysts blamed a bad draw, as the one who defeated him went on to win the tournament, but Elian was never one to make excuses and simply trained harder.

During the course of his journeys in Kanto, Elian had numerous very interesting adventures, but one of the most interesting things that was happening in Kanto was happening right back where he started: Viridian City. Tash Randor had continued to expand his enterprise, but he had reached too boldly and too far and had tried to take down the mighty Silph Corporation. In doing so, he exposed himself a little too much, and his underhanded dealings and his ties to Team Rocket were discovered by the police. Suddenly, in the middle of Elian's journey, Tash and Carrie Randor vanished from public life, and Elian's source of funding went completely dry, requiring him to complete the rest of his quest on his own resourcefulness and determination. He didn't resent this; in fact, he recognized that the experience made him stronger because he was no longer able to rely upon his money as a crutch, and he was finally able to put his parents completely out of his mind. They sent him a message electronically, telling him that they had to go away for a while and that it was best that he not know where they were going, and that was fine with Elian.

After his defeat in the Indigo Plateau Conference, Elian continued to train, hoping that one day he would be able to have a rematch with the man who had defeated him. One day, however, a new challenge reached his ears, and he turned his attention to the region of Johto, where a new adventure awaited him.

((If you'd like me to take out the stuff involving Team Rocket or the Indigo Plateau Conference, I'll try to write it out. It shouldn't have too much bearing on the story since Elian is basically starting over in Johto, but I wouldn't want to get presumptuous. ;) I could elaborate more on his experiences in Kanto if necessary, I suppose, but I don't want to turn this into a novel XD))

Pokémon: Elian travels to the Johto region with only his first Pokémon, Timber, a Growlithe whose background is described in the "history" section. Timber is loyal to a fault and would even attack humans if Elian commanded it, but fortunately Elian has no interest in harming others. Like its trainer, Timber pours all of its attention on the challenge that is set before him, but unlike Elian, Timber has an easy time making new friends and is generally eager to meet someone new. But in the end, he is one that enjoys open spaces and adventuring through the wilderness more than anything else and cannot resist the temptation to explore a new area. He also rarely travels within a Poké Ball, as he grew used to being free from its constraints during the months he spent with Elian before they started their journey.

Elian had a number of Pokémon that he traveled with over the course of his journey, but the main ones (and the team he used in his Pokémon League Challenge) were:
    Rhydon
    Gyarados
    Electrode
    Snorlax
    Parasect

Elian recognized the importance of having a balanced team, and trained his Pokémon to be the best they could be.
Pokémon Registration: Well, we're in Johto, so it should be from the Johto region…I'd like a Water-type, please. :D

    EDIT: Here!

    Name: Jazmine Rose Torzela
    Age: 17
    Gender: Female

Personality:Jazmine is a "forward-moving" person. She enjoys trying new things and exploring new places. She HATES cheating and will punish those who DO cheat. She is very afraid of heights and on the downside; Jazmine can be a little (Or a lot) impatient. She is caring to those she is close with, but when it comes to evil-doers, Jazmine will put her foot down. Jazmine is an encouraging friend, and a good sport when it comes to not only battling, but other games too. She isn't very strong, but she can run fast. Jazmine is friendly towards new people, and loves to help out in almost any situation. Though, Jazmine is a little insecure due to her parents being away for so long(See History). She enjoys watching battles, as well as being in them, but her main goal is becoming the top coordinator.

Appearance: Jazmine has dark brown hair that goes down to about her chest and curls at the end. Her head is a circle shape and she has deep blue eyes. Her nose is small and centered on her head. Her lips are a pink-red color and her skin is a tanned color. She stands 5'7" and weighs 128 pounds. She wears a yellow hoodie with a pink heart on it, and dark blue jeans that cover her black and white, worn-out, tennis shoes. She wears an orange, plain, t-shirt underneath the hoodie. Lastly, Jazmine has a yellow bag that she carries on her shoulder, with the same heart on it. Most of her height comes from her long legs, and she has long arms too. At formal occasions, Jazmine wears a yellow dress that goes down to her knees, and matching yellow shoes. As an alternative outfit, Jazmine will usually wear a yellow striped tang-top, with matching yellow pants. In the cold, Jazmine wears a yellow coat, with her usual jeans, and yellow snowboots.

History: When Jazmine was young, she lived in the Kanto region, a great place for her parents, Debbie and Todd, because they were researchers. One day, about a week before Jazmine was to leave on her journey through Kanto, her parents had to leave on a research trip, promising they'd be back in a week so that Jazmine could start her journey.

Jazmine was sent to live with her grandparents in Hoenn, for a week. After a week, Jazmine's parents didn't return. Jazmine waited for another month and her parents still never returned. Jazmine waited and waited, but her parents never came. Each day, her grandma told her to keep her head up and her parents would be back. Now, three and a half years later, Jazmine was about to take the journey of her life, befriending Pokémon and exploring new places. She travelled through Hoenn, raising Pokémon, and collecting ribbons, along with her main Pokémon partner, Pyu, a Pichu.

Along her journey, Pyu accidentally swallowed a chipped off piece of Everstone, making it so she could never evolve. Jazmine met a young boy named Sam, who shared her exact birth date—July 18th. She placed second in the Grand Festival, losing to her biggest rival, Peter, who had grown up in Littleroot with her.

Now, two years after her Grand Festival loss (or win), Jazmine is taking up a new challenge. She is travelling through Johto, where she'll receive a new Pokémon from Professor Willow, along with Pyu, and make her way, collecting badges this time, through the region of Johto.

Pokémon: Pyu; Pichu; Female; Pyu is Jazmine's main, and favorite Pokémon on her team. As stated above, Pyu will never evolve, and Pyu and Jazmine ARE already great friends, after knowing Pyu before any other Pokémon, even before the Hoenn Festival. Even though Pyu is not evolved, it is still a powerful Pokémon.

    Pokémon Registration: Hoenn ; Grass

Extra: I have used Jazmine before, in PIkalover10's great RP, New Hoenn. Unfortunately, we made it to Oldale town before we stopped. Jazmine is (my first) and favorite RP character. Although she REALLY met Sam, and Peter in NH, and Pyu ACTUALLY swallowed the stone, most other things are exaggerated. Most of this is from the old SU, when Jazmine was 13, and I was a "un-advanced" (as if I'm "advanced now) RP'er. It was my first SU EVER. If you wish for more detail, please ask. Thank you, great RP! Hope to be accepted!

    RP sample:
Chapter 3: Double Trouble!/ VS Plusle and Minun

As the two walked further down the path, they noticed the trees were starting to look black, almost as if a fire had occured. "Hmmm, Pyu, look!", Jazmine said, pointing at a tree nearby.

    "Pi-Pichu!", Pyu said, also bewildered.

"Let's get a better look", Jazmine said, as they walked toward the tree. "Weird" Suddenly, she heard a thumping noise. Jazmine turned to look, and was hit, with a blurred force. Jazmine fell, along with the being, and Pyu.

"Oh! I'm so sorry, are you okay!", Jazmine heard a boy's voice ask.

" Yeah, I'm fine", Jazmine replied, getting up.

"I'm so sorry, my Pokemon got hurt and I was looking for some berries. Sorry!", the boy frantically said.

" No problem, I fall all the time!", Jazmine said. "I'm Jazmine, I got my first Pokemon in Birch's lab, Pyu!"

"Cool! Me too, that's a cool Pokemon! I'm Sam", Sam replied.

"It's weird, huh. The way the Professor was stolen, right before our journey's. What Pokemon did you get?", Jazmine asked.

"Oh, me? Well, Turtwig, let's come on out!" Sam grabbed a Pokeball, and a small, turtle like Pokemon came out.

"Hey, it's so cute!", Jazmine stated, staring at the Turtwig.

"Thanks!", Sam replied, happy at the compliment.

"Let's go pitch a tent, I'll cook!", Jazmine smiled.

"That sounds great! I'm in!", Sam replied, smiling back.

The two walked down the path, coming to a wide clearing in the trees. "Here we are!", Jazmine said, taking off her bag. She bent down, and un-zipped it, pulling out a small, portable tent and some pots and pans.

"I'll pitch the tent, you cook!", Sam said, grabbing the tent. The two worked together, as the Pokemon played in the opening. Pyu kicked a small pebble around, while Turtwig tried to catch it. They went on with their playing, until Jazmine called, "Dinner!"

In a flurry of sand, pebbles, and Pokemon, everyone ran to the picnic blanket. Though no one saw, a small pebble flew up, and landed, right in Pyu's stew.

  • Name: Luke Wyatt
    Age: 22
    Gender: Male

    Personality:
Luke being in his younger years still acts like a crazy "no-worries" teen. He does anything and everything he is able to do. Always takes the risky choice because he loves a challenge and will fight through it completely. He's even taken this into his training habits. Usually he'll test his pokémon against elements that would normally cause them problems, such as making team face their weaker types on purpose. He doesn't do this to hurt, but to make them learn their weaknesses and learn to fight back.

Luke isn't the best socially, but he isn't the worst. The main problem is that he sits back and waits a little before he actually gets moves in to attempt to bring anyone in close. This has been good in the long run as it has helped to build strong friendships with most people. By sitting back, Luke gets a chance to learn about someone so that he actually knows what to say as to not offend them or so that he knows what that person likes and can have some kind of relative topic.

A lot of trainers have commented that Luke battles without mercy. He doesn't use strategy at all because he believes in fast paced action, which goes along with his risky attitude. Building pressure on the opponent has always been a favorite plan of Luke's. In every battle he has his pokémon continue to attack as hard as they can with their most powerful attacks, making the opponent have to think faster than Luke and his pokémon or submit to their attacks.

    Appearance:
There really are not a lot of features that break Luke from the crowd. He built athletically from all the training and journeying he has done with his pokémon. There's not a lot of height on the young trainer with him standing at about 5'10''. His body is pretty tan which he's also managed to gain from running all over the world to the different regions. On top of his body is his black, buzz cut hair, but you don't normally see it do to him always wearing a cap of some form. The same with his dark brown eyes that are hidden behind his pitch black sunglasses. A newly grown black goatee surrounds his mouth.

Clothing wise, Luke doesn't have anything to fancy. He commonly wears a plain colored t-shirt (usually black or white) with an unbuttoned, long-sleeved shirt over top. Luke loves baggy jeans and almost always wears them. Holding them up is his trainer's belt holding his empty pokéballs and pokémon. Plain white shoes are a staple in his outfit, rarely buying any other color. On his back is a backpack that holds all his extra items, clothes and food for him and his pokémon.

    History:
A common quiet life is a good way to describe Luke's history. He is the only child to his parents, Alice and James Wyatt, and lived in the same small town until he was 18. James Wyatt was a farmer and Alice was a breeder, so the two never left the house. For the first ten years of his like, Luke was home schooled but was stopped once Luke's parents got more land and were busier that normally. He attended a boarding school in a larger town right next to his. Every weekend he would come home and help his parents on the many choices and would be picked up every Sunday night.

James and Alice always hoped Luke would help them once he graduated, but that wasn't the case. At the boarding school Luke made friends with some hardcore pokémon lovers. Since he was always with them, he gained a love for pokémon and the Pokémon League. Instead of helping his parents, he decided to become a trainer and hopefully a future pokémon champion.

Since he was always in Johto, Luke started there. He registered and was instructed to pick up a pokémon at a lab somewhere in the region. Luke did the opposite though, he wanted to build a bond with his first pokémon from the start and thought it would be best to actually meet one in the wild, gain their trust to a point where they didn't need a battle.

After a few weeks of running around, a Heracross crossed Luke's path. He used some of the food he took from his parents and offered it to the Heracross. To his surprise though, it took the food and fled. Luke chased after it until the Heracross stopped in a clearing. There was a problem though. An Ursaring had showed up. It began to attack the Heracross. Quickly, Luke tried to attract its attention by throwing rocks at it. While he did get the attention, it was not the best way to do so as it just made the Ursaring even more upset and began to chase Luke.

Luke fled and attempted to escape. He didn't get far before the Ursaring had caught up. Thinking he was about to get taken down, the Heracross attacked the Ursaring, sending it into a tree and knocking it out. It was at that point that Luke and Heracross formed some kind of bond. The two traveled to the next city where Luke offered the pokémon a place on his time. He agreed and the Heracross has been a regular from then on.

Luke changed his mind on doing Johto at that point and left for Hoenn where he beat all the gym leaders and later challenged the Pokémon League. In the end, Luke placed in the top 20 trainers. Now he's decided to try Johto.

    Pokémon:
Heracross is the only pokémon he will be taking into the new Johto League. It's one of the strongest pokémon on his team and is also the bravest. It battles hard and knocks most opponents around. Heracross is a lot like Luke. It's risky and takes chances that would normally makes others run from. Heracross is Luke's best friend and the two would do anything for each other.

    Chapter 0: Cruise to Johto!

    "How Beautiful."

Kohana stared onto the beautiful skies, filled with passing Swablu, heading towards the ever-so fading Hoenn.

    "Ruff Ruff!"

Kohana looked down to see Konjou, her lovable Poochyena looking up at her, with a wagging tail. It's soft, red eyes met Kohana's light brown.

"You wanna see the view too? O.K."

Kohana picked up Konjou and pointed it towards a distant region with huge mountains covering it.

    "That's Johto, Kohana."

Kohana looked over and saw it was Farland, also staring at the land.

"I's as beautiful as you've said, and more, Farland" Kohana smiled.

"I know it is. I've been to many regions in my time, and none are as stunning as Johto"

Konjou started squirming so Kohana put him down. He didn't being held for long periods of time.

"So, Prof. Birch is sending you the starter Pokemon you requested as we speak. It should be at the New Bark Lab when when reach New Bark Town. We'll need to go through a canal that seperates Johto from Kanto".

    "Kanto?"

"Yes, the first region to be inhabited by Pokemon. It has truly exquisite Pokemon there."

"Maybe I'll go there after I've been through Johto. I want to meet every kind of Pokemon."

    Farland looked back at Kohana.

"That is the dream of all true Trainers."

  • Name: Karl Hudson

    Age: 20

    Gender: Male

Personality: Karl is a really easygoing guy, opting to go with the flow in life rather then steer against the current. He's a bit of a fatalist in that respect; believing if it's going to happen, it'll happen, whether it's getting flu or winning a Pokémon tournament.

A friendly smile is always on Karl's face and he likes to believe he's a pretty approachable and likable guy. He loves meeting new people and although he seems quiet at first, it's usually because he prefers to listen to people and thinks things over first. This can lead to him becoming indecisive and overcautious when it comes to action or choices as he tends to over think things through rather then rush head first, the only exception to this is his need to please close friends and family and wanting to make them happy, even if it means doing something or going somewhere he really doesn't want to do or go to.

Karl is a believer in giving people the benefit of the doubt, wanting to reserve his judgement on people until he gets to know them better, this has been a downfall for Karl as he's seen as far too trusting towards people and has even tries to think up an excuse as to why someone would act a certain dubious way, even if it's just a guess. He usually sees the lighter side of life, trying to make a joke out of predicaments or just being good humoured. He's really not that funny and wouldn't make it as a comedian.

His laidback attitude has caused Karl to be a bit of a procrastinator at times, which in turn accounts for him being a bit of a slob too, opting to do things tomorrow rather then today. It takes a lot of willpower (or nagging) for him to get his butt into gear and do something that needs doing (like cleaning).

Appearance: Karl has cropped strawberry blonde hair with a fringe that often falls in front of his hazel-green eyes. His hair is usually a mess, even though it's shorter at the back as he just doesn't bother with it. He has sparse fluff on his chin, which has yet thickened into a proper beard. It makes his appearance more untidy then it usually is since he's too lazy to shave everyday and actually thinks it makes him look good. However when he does shave, he's loathed to shave off his 'goatee' and will only do so when it gets too 'wild' and he wants to start again. His hair on his chin is a darker ginger-blonde then on his head. His nose is rounded and has a sprinkle of light freckles across it.

Karl's skin is lightly tanned due to travelling, but he still uses a lot of sun block as he is prone to sunburn. Karl's two front teeth stick out slightly further forward then his other teeth, giving him an almost buck-tooth appearance on his long thin face. He is pretty slender in build; standing only at 5" 8, but Karl still stoops instead of standing straight; a bad habit he developed as a teenager. He is pretty proportionate in terms of his limb length and chest size.

Karl wears unfitting clothes to put it politely; his dark blue jeans are only staying up due to his belt and even then his red boxers make an appearance because of how low they hang. He favours short sleeved black t-shirts and large plait red shirt which is rarely done up, both are pretty baggy on him. His trainers are hidden under the bottom of his jeans, but when seen are a grotty grey and probably hasn't been cleaned for a while as Karl thinks they were once white.

He carries with him a large green backpack which has his spare clothes, a small tent and sleeping bag, Pokéchow, a packed lunch his mum packed and some poffins his little sister made for his Pokémon (although he likes eating them too).

History: Karl was born in Fuchsia City in the kanto region, but moved to Celadon City when he was a kid. His grandmother still lives in Fuchsia and Karl and his family visited usually twice or three times a year. He has never held a great interest in training and fighting Pokémon, he just didn't have the competitive streak unlike his younger kid sister, Elaine, but his grandmother was insistent that he should have a partner and travel the region at least. Not wanting to disappoint his grandmother, Kale agreed and accepted her gift of a Nidoran male, but was told he had to finish school first before allowed to go on his first journey.

He finally started his journey at the age of 16 and travelled around Kanto, battling trainers and earned a few badges. At first he thought he wouldn't get very far before he got bored, but surprisingly enjoyed his treks and battling other trainers. He found he enjoyed chatting and befriending other people more then battling them or gaining badges, but their hype and Stan the Nidoran's enthusiasm to battle urged him to compete more. He did it because Stan loved battling and he wanted to make his Pokémon happy.

Over four years later Stan had evolved into a Nidorino and Karl had won 6 badges which for him was an achievement as nobody in his family believed he could have gotten this far, besides his grandmother. Unfortunately no matter how hard Karl and Stan tried, the 7th and 8th badge was just too much of a challenge and he became disinterested and moody, his team wasn't strong enough and he felt too disillusioned to try and train up a new team.

The offer from Professor Willow was a renewal of promise, at first Karl was going to decline, but his grandmother sharply stepped in and put him straight. He could get stronger new Pokémon and go to a new place and meet new people, it wouldn't be starting over instead it would be a whole new journey. With new inspiration and Stan moping around since they got home, Karl accepted and hoped he'd enjoy travelling and battling like he used to.

Pokémon: Nidorino called Stan. Karl often calls him 'Stan the man' it used to be 'Stan the Nidoran' but for obvious reasons he can't use that anymore.

Like a typical Nidorino Stan is hot headed and impulsive, he loves battling and never backs down from a fight. Unlike his trainer, he has a lot of enthusiasm and has a competitive nature which proves to have a positive influence to Karl to give him the get up and go. Over the years they've been together, Stan has developed patience, or at least knows when Karl isn't in a rush so gives up trying to urge him on and settles down, but is ready for action at a moments notice.

Due to his stubborn nature, he has been known to refuse going back into his Pokéball and have even let himself out a couple of times if he feels his trainer is slacking. He does have a caring side and a strong bond towards Karl. This other side of him can be also directed towards other Pokémon and he'll protect those he feels are 'family' from harm.

His short temper has gotten him into more trouble then Karl can count and has even made him question how good a trainer he really is if he cannot control his Pokémon's outbursts, no matter how justified it seems. Stan just doesn't seem to be able to control himself in these outbursts and a 'timeout' in his Pokéball is usually Karl's last resort in subduing him.

Pokémon Registration: From Johto and dark type please

    Post Sample:

A soft breeze lightly ruffled the young man's strawberry blonde hair as he dozed under the shade of a sturdy tree. The sun sat at the highest point in the sky, warming the world with its rays. It was already set out to be a beautiful day; wild Pokémon were out and about, singing and forging while excited young trainers noisily ran down the nearby path to find their next opponent, yet the scruffy man didn't stir from his slumber. The world was hurrying itself along while he seemed content to sleep it away.

A click and a red light burst forth from a red and white ball from his belt. The light formed into a shape and the shape became solid. A large pink horned beast yawned, showing off its sharp teeth. It shook its heavy spiked body and flicked its long rabbit like ears; listening to the trainers it cannot see. After a minute, its sharp eyes drew its attention to the sleeping form and with steady, deliberate steps towards him it raised a claw and slammed it down on the stomach of its trainer with a growl.

"Ag-oof!" Cried Karl doubling over, now completely wide awake, he lay on his side clenching his side waiting for his wind to return. The Nidorino raised his paw again causing the hazel eyed human to grab it. "Stan! I'm awake! I'm awake!" He gasped and to prove it he sat up, although still hunched over slightly. Stan snorted and trotted over to the green backpack, picking it up in his mouth which was promptly taken from him. "Oh no, you're not eating a hole in this one like you did the last." Karl scorned his Pokémon, then opened it and rummaged through it until he found what he wanted and gave Stan some of his Pokéchow.

The pain in his stomach was subsiding, he really need to teach Stan to nudge him up gently rather then stamp all over him, although without admitting it, Karl knew it was mostly his fault Stan was this rough, he usually ignored most people's and Pokémon's attempts of waking him up, so it was only logical that his Nidorino, who didn't have much patience to begin with, found other ways to get his trainer up.

Karl looked down at his clothes. He had fallen asleep in them again without getting changed or setting the tent up, he did leave it rather late this time and let it become dark before he had to camp for the night. "I was hoping we'd get to Fuchsia City before dark." He muttered to himself while he searched for clean clothes in his bag. Sniffing a blue shirt he decided what he had on was no worse then what he had in his pack. More rummaging around didn't produce what Karl wanted. "Hmm, seems I'm out of food." He sighed, he knew he forgot something. Giving a sideward glance to his munching Pokémon, he took out the Pokéchow and ate one. This time it had a sweet taste, a berry he couldn't remember the name of. Shrugging to himself he settled down against the tree to eat his fill, knowing it'll be probably be a couple of hours before they got to his grandmother's house for a delicious cooked meal.

"You know what Stan?" His question was greeted with a grunt. "I bet nana will want us to go to Johto to meet this Professor Willow. Maybe I shouldn't tell her about his-ow!" A large pink clawed paw scratched his baggy blue jeans and its owner glared at his trainer, "Okay, Okay we're going now, alright?" Stan got up and allowed his trainer to return him into his Pokéball leaving Karl wondering if Stan understood what he said or just became impatient from his yapping. Without wanted to incur the wrath of Stan, he packed up and continued his way on route 15 to Fuchsia City in a leisurely pace.

    Woah.

Holy god, I have loved the outcome of interest in this thread. Much more people are interested that I thought would be, this is way passed expectations. I'm glad this is - so far - a successful RP that I'm delighted to be creator of. (I've had bad experiences creating RP's before, that's why I hesitated with this a bit) Alright, now for the character grading. Heh.

iLike2EatPiez - I love your character. Really creative and original, just the way I like it. The length of it is beautiful and appealing which caught my attention right away. From your post sample I can tell you're a great writer. Glad to have you join this RP, so you are with no doubt Accepted. Your gift Pokémon shall be - Mareep. Hope you liked my choice of Pokémon!

Silvanarrow - Awesome; Eri seems to be a really cool character for this RolePlay. And I can't believe this is your first time RPing, because from the looks of your character profile you seem to have some sort of experience or knowledge of what you're doing (I'm talking crazy - as if a character profile was extremely difficult xD) You are Accepted. Your gift Pokémon will be - Ponyta. I hope that's alright with you.

Vorteld - Nice. Everything is okay although you have a couple of spelling mistakes but at least I could read and understand what you wrote. Just pointing it out to ya, so you could become better as a writer. Always review your work! You are Accepted. Gift Pokémon shall be - Corphish. If you have a problem with this, feel free to ask.

xcageboyx - Needs some more spiceeeeee. Some more detailllllll. Make it juicyyyyyyyy, writing wise of course. It's alright right now, but just not there yet. I could see a lot more things that can be elaborated on, so for now you are Pending. (Just got your PM, and it's a yes for me. Make yourself a completely new char. if that's what you want. xD)

Rafey - Okay, pretty decent. Lots of more things you could elaborate on too, but I have faith in you. Your post sample needs to be a bit longer and more descriptive but it's all good. You just made the cut - Accepted. Your gift Pokémon will be - Sneasel. Gotta love you some Sneasel.

White Lancer - You have impressed me to the point that it gave me tingles of excitement for this. I look forward to RPing with you as soon as I get this started. And the Team Rocket stuff is fine - there's no problem with it. Props for a character this cool, definitely Accepted. Your Pokémon - Totodile. Have fun with 'em. (I don't know if it's male or female, it's your choice, hah.)

    Extric - Nice nice nice, Luke seems to be like a nice, cool and casual guy to RP with, including an interesting one too due to his battle style and training techniques. Very interesting, I enjoyed reading this profile; Accepted. Your Pokémon will be - Magby. Enjoy this flame-ful little guy. Or girl. >>;

WisherWisherWish - I'm going to break the news to you - you have been Denied. I didn't like the way you reacted to me not putting you on the reserve list and having it slip my mind; you lost your temper and had someone (Sola84) calm you down. Plus, I asked you to revise your profile and you merely took away some things I told you to, not adding anything else or even trying. The profile seems like something someone wrote in 10-20 minutes without looking at it, revising and actually being satisfied with it. It seemed too rushed. Sorry, wish you better luck next time, WisherWisherWish.

Sola84 - Good profile, I liked it.. It's nicely done and written, and seems like you have some potential of becoming a great RPer. Stan the man, haha. It made me laugh. Accepted. Your Pokémon - Murkrow! Enjoy.

My profile will be posted soon enough, no worries. The latest I'll start this is in the weekend. Hopefull I don't have as much network and server problems with this place this upcoming weekend, the last was a train wreck.

    I'm all giddy inside. ;3

  • Yay! I'm really excited for this RP to start! And you're very perceptive, Omega Saikon. I've actually been writing and publishing fanfiction online for several years, so, while I've never RP'd before, I do have a lot of general story-writing experience. (I didn't see an OOC thread for this RP before posting this, so I'm not trying to spam this thread or anything.)

King, more detail LIEK NAO. Just kidding, but make it better. Revise it, and fix it since it's all black gray, chunky bolded and all blah.

Silvanarrow, thanks. Hah. You could tell you've been writing for sometime, whether it was RPing or not. And should I make an OOC thread? I'll leave it up to the accepted members of this RolePlay.
