    Also;

Lickilicky shouldn't be used for a wall IMO

    252hp/252def/4atk
    impish

    counter
    body slam
    Wish
    Explosion/Protect

Uh Lickilicky is kinda THE best special wall in NU. :/

    Lickylicky@Leftovers
    252 HP / 252 SDef / 6 Def
    Careful Nature
    - Body Slam
    - Toxic / Heal Bell
    - Wish
    - Protect

Crawdaunt has base 30 (35?) Speed, so it won't be outspeeding a lot of important things with no speed investment. It just doesn't have the typing or stats to run a defensive spread.

    tl;dr: use Whiscash instead.

Crawdaunt has base 30 (35?) Speed,

    But yes Crawdaunt sucks defensively.

So yes basically ITT; "people need to stop being terrible and/or lurk moar and/or check their facts before posting".

  • I have a better idea, "dont use Lumineon if you like winning" lol -.-

Really there are so many better options, Qwilfish, Floatzel, Gorebyss, Relicanth, Seaking, heck even Huntail and Mantine outclass it as Swift Swim sweepers.

I hate floatzel, and I already have a seaking. I'll try the others.
I thought about lumineon 'cause it was able to U-turn if the things looked too bad for it.

  • Lumineon is horrible. Floatzel pretty much is the best physical Swift Swim Sweeper in the NU metagame.

But if you even decide to use Lumineon, which is outclassed by like, a poisoned Pelipper, focus on it's somewhat mediocre defensive stats.

In a 2vs2 battle, if one of my Pokemon uses Skill Swap on its partner and then switches out, will the partner thats still in battle still have the swapped ability?

Also, when the Pokemon that used Skill Swap returns to the battle, will it have its original ability or the ability that it swapped with its partner?

    Thank you in advance :)

the partner still in battle will keep the skill,
but if you switch out the skills go back to normal.
so, if you skill swap and switch, the pokemon switching out
will have the normal skill, but the one in battle will have the new one,
until dead or switched :) .
    ....i think

    2vs2 Battle

    Slaking @ Chople Berry
    Adamant Nature
    252 ATK / 128 S.DEF / 128 SPD
    Return
    Aerial Ace
    Earthquake
    Slack Off
Slaking will have the Synchronize ability after Espeon uses Skill Swap, Return for a STAB, Aerial Ace to take care of fighting types , Earthquake to damage both opponents.

    Espeon @ Shed Shell
    Timid Nature
    128 DEF / 252 S.ATK / 128 S.DEF
    Psychic
    Grass Knot
    Morning Sun
    Skill Swap
Espeon will use Skill Swap on Slaking and then switch out for Togekiss, when it returns to the battle it will be a special sweeper. I gave it a Shed Shell to prevent it from being trapped with the Truant ability.

    Togekiss @ Light Clay
    Bold/Impish Nature
    252 HP / 128 DEF / 128 S.DEF
    Follow Me
    Reflect
    Light Screen
    Roost
Togekiss will set up dual walls with Reflect and Light Screen, if Togekiss hasn't been knocked out after that then I'll use Follow Me to protect Slaking.

I know this needs a lot of work, so all suggestions are welcome.

  • We kinda need to know more about the Vulpix, including nature etc.

Imo, I wouldn't use Espeon. Gengar would be a better Skill Swapper, since it passes Levitate to Slaking, making it immune to an Earthquake buddy.

On a side note, does an oposing Pokemon stay trapped from Fire Spin, Magma Storm etc. if the Pokemon who used said move switches out?

have you heard of the Slaking and Slowbro/Slowking technique?

    post from Go2Sleep02 of Smogon:
2 vs 2 Slowbro and Slaking Combo re-borned into the 4th Gen.

    Request a Moveset / Simple Q&A / Breeding Questions

    Slowbro @ Leftovers
    Own Tempo
    252 Def / 212 HP / 44 SpD Bold
    ~ Ice Beam
    ~ Psychic
    ~ Skill Swap
    ~ Swagger

    +

    Request a Moveset / Simple Q&A / Breeding Questions

    Slaking @ Leftovers
    Truant
    240 HP / 165 Spd / 105 Atk Jolly
    ~ Slack Off
    ~ Earthquake
    ~ Return
~ Shadow Claw / Fire Punch

This is an old combo that was used back in 3rd gen play that I have revised a bit. The EV Spreads need some help with. The reason Slowbro doesn't have Slack Off is because it would eventually die to Slaking's boosted up Swagger Earthquakes ( The reason I don't have Surf as well on Slowbro it would damage Slaking). Anyway after Slowbro faints you probally want to send out a Special Attacker thats immune to Ground attacks ( Hint Gengar or Azelf.). The point of this combo anyway is to get rid of Slaking's horrible ability and boost its attack power up with Swagger. Than watch as Slaking will sweep. Remember this combo takes time to create. Also its probally not a good idea to lead off with these 2 because of a Salamence + Gyarados lead.

No it can switch out if the user switches out.

lol I hope you bred your Growlithe in HG/SS, because Morning Sun is an egg move in those games ONLY.

  • Since I'm too lazy to repost this, I'm just going to copy and paste this from elsewhere.

It's been a while since Wobbuffet was legal in OU but I feel like having a Tickle Wobbuffet running the old OU set regardless. Since it was all such a long time ago, I can't seem to find the moveset floating around the internet anywhere and I can't find it from Smogon either.

So what I know is that Tickle Wobbuffet used Tickle to weaken walls then switch to a Choice Banded Pursuit user such as Tyranitar for the kill. I believe it was commonly used to shut down Skarmory and Blissey so it needs to outspeed them at the least.

From what I can see, I can deduce that Wobbuffet needs the full 252 EVs for speed along with a speed beneficial nature (Timid) in order to outspeed the standard Skarmory which reaches 180 speed.

Can anyone provide me the most common Tickle Wobbuffet moveset? Thanks.
Thanks to anyone who can provide me with it. =)

    The old Tickle Wob set was iirc;

    Wobbuffet@Leftovers
    128 DEF / 128 S.DEF / 252 SPEED
    Timid/Jolly Nature
    - Tickle
    - Encore
    - Counter
    - Mirror Coat

Thanks. That looks right. Should I bother adjusting the EVs to give it 28 HP EVs for maximum Leftovers recovery? I'm not too good with this. =\
