Why do you want to become a mod?

Alrighty. I know that there are some of you PC members out there dying to become a mod. So, this is a poll solely for the people who wish to someday become mods. My question to you is:

Why do you want to become a mod?

Well, a reason I would ever want to become a mod is to make sites better and help out. And not to mention I mod so many other forums. And besides, the silver bold name and title is cool. But becoming a mod isn't really my most greatest desire.

Here are my reasons why I would like to be a moddie woddie someday. ^^

~ I get to help people more. ^_________^ I love to help out, and this way I can do that more often~!

~ I could be a bigger part of PC. ^^ It means a lot to me.

~ I would be able to destroy the ebil spammers~! Okay...a little bit of exaggeration there. XD

~ In the process, I would be able to meet some people that I havent talked to here before on PC. ^__________^

~ The mod lounge. XD *cough*

~ The pretty coloured name. =3 [Ish~ I like grey. =3]

~ I think I would be the youngest moddie. XD [Yes, great reason. I know. XP]

Although I know I probably wont be a moddie for a while, I still like to try to picture what it would be like. ^^ I wish everyone the best of luck while trying to achieve their goals~! <3<3<3

Now that I think about it, I never really thought I could be a mod in the first place. I would be like the young immature one in the group. xD
And I forgot all about those evil spammers. I'd want to put an end to spamming too. And not to mention actually proving to myself I can be a somebody.

I think... I just wanted to be a mod in the first place because it meant that my skill and talent was recognized by the other mods/admins (which is basically all there was at the time of my modding XD). ^_^; I like being a mod because it gives me a chance to make a big difference and help out a lot. o_O No other reason, really.

But the thing I've noticed is... sometimes, when I join a forum, I just get this feeling like "I'm gonna be a mod" =o And then I get modded sometime later. I've only been wrong once. XD;

Ill tell ya why xD, but i wont tell why *i* would want to be a mod, im gonna also tell ya what ive done, first of, id love to be a mod, id increase my activness, id be much happier, and id probably gain some more respect round here xD, id also like to be a mod at this time, because remember the mod style is silver?, well, take a look at my font, my sig, and my avy xD, anyways, ive reported alot in the past, ive reported spammers to arxcy and claire, ive reported n00b threads, meh, ive reported in lotsa forums, but maybe the n00b one the most, but still, if i was a mod, id still have to be upgraded to smod to ban, but meh, id still gain powers to lock threads etc. ive been told by others that im mod material, but really to say, i dont think im mod material as others do, but i guess so, meh, i dunno xP XD

I would like to become a moderator because I think I would be a good asset to help out with the community. I have been a member for almost a year and by now I know the rules very well. Over the past 11 months I have been very helpful in reporting illegal thread. I am very pleasant and active everyday.

Oh, I'll admit it. XD ^_~ I'd like to be a mod [but I'm not dying to be one]. I mean... the pwetty name and profile, and the access to the mod lounge... but it might be a great maturing process. o.o Besides, I itch to lock all these threads that staff don't get to. XD I hate spam.

When i saw this question , i coudnt stop thinking about the numerous things that members will say , mostly the idea of making the board better. But being myself ill expose my main reason.

Archieving the Mod Rank, for me will denote Respect,leadership,power etc. But The True meaning of this for me is : Become Well Known , if i become a mod , most certaindly ill be better known and that means = I have to be a good member, since i am supposed to set as an example. And that will make me more happy.

Thats about it . The color rank its a plus aswell as the larger pm box , which all of these are a must and not exactly a privilege by the task your leading on the board.

I have a question , does signature limit varies on Staff? If so , that will be a yay for me because i like to fade text.

Well, I'm not looking forward to be a mod, but my reason to be one would be the power to provide some kind of help that a normal member couldn't. So, if I could get the chance, I wouldn't complain XD;

To be honest sweeties, I never thought about being a mod. ^^; All I wanted to do on PC was to post, post my hacks, and make some friends, I never thought I was mod worthy. XD

Signature limit do not increase. Its a size for all the board.

I never thought of being modded. I never really liked to be a mod, except that time when Shadow left and they were looking for mods and jeremy was teasing once when i asked him who would be a mod. He always said, "you never know" or soemthing like it. Then Jason made threads, litterarly asking to be a mod again, which got closed. I guess when the staff saw how he was hunger for power, they decided to mod someone else, and then I came into place. ^_^
I didn't mind the work and the hours it had to be put in since most of you know that I staretd forums like 8 tiems and i had to restart alot with features and all, so I guess tah twas used to me. I knew how to close/move/sticky and more. But yea its fun. But arduous

Unlike some of you, I don't base my time at PC around trying to become a mod. I have fun here. Sometimes I'm good, sometimes not. You can tell who wants to become a mod because they're trying to be perfect.

By the way, isn't PC supposed to be a place of fun? Some people forget that. They think that mods are like ruthless dictators. Sometimes they are. Mostly not, though.

I've never really, really considered about being a mod until I witnessed a porn spammer on the old PC.
I was one of the only members that were online at that time, and there was only one mod on. After witnessing havoc on this board, I decided that I wanted to contribute my power and time into making this community a safer, more enjoyable place for everyone.

And here I am now. =D

I never had intentions of becoming a mod. In fact, I thought it was highly unlikely I would become a mod.

And poof- after one month, I'm a mod.

I think becoming a mod isn't about making PC a better place, well it is in a sense but becoming a mod has SO much responsibilities and you have to know what your doing or talking about (example:Kenny is a mod at other cards BECAUSE he knows so much about card games, he's very knowledgeable at not only Magic The Gathering but he's also well rounded in Yu-Gi-Oh and Duel Masters, because we can't have a mod knowing ONE of the card games but not the rest) so being a mod isn't just having silver-borders all over your name (and for those who became a mod for the silver-borders are a disgrace to PC), it's about what you know and how helpful you can be to the people who visits where you mod.
As for me, I'd like to become a mod because I would like to accept the responsibilities of being one and I have something to prove.
