I am in a dilemma. i need good games to talk about at school and go on live with. now i've lego indiana jones sega superstars tennis kung fu panda (got those bundled with the console) also PGR4 and fifa 09. my mom wont buy me 16+ and 18+ games which means i miss out on metal gear solid halo and COD. however near where i live there is a market where the guy will sell you any game. so what should i get?

i apologise for the poor grammar in this post.

You do realise metal gear solid is a PS3 exclusive don't you? :P

Call of Duty:World at War is only a 15, so your mum can't say no ;)

Yeah... MGS4 is a PS3 exclusive. The only MGS game you could get is the botched port of MGS2 for the original Xbox, which is unfortunately a 16.

Ace Combat 6 (360): Despite its annoying cutscene dialogue, the sheer gameplay is where this game shines.
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell (Xbox): A classic. For the lack of MGS, Splinter Cell steps in (even though MGS is better in my opinion).
Lord Of The Rings: Battle for Middle-Earth II (360): A highly-addicting LoTR real-time strategy game.

That's all I can think of right now. Most of the better games for the system line are all 16+/18+s.

I'm pretty sure that Halo isn't even 15?

Games you might be able to get:

Halo 3;; It's just, You can't have a 360 and not get it XD
CoD: World at War & CoD:4;; Two awesome games, some people prefer CoD4 simply because of the weapon choice in the game. But I'm not that to picky with weapons and most other people aren't either.

Games I'm sure you should be able to get:

Fable II;; It's an awesome game, Fable was as well. When you play it, it's like a party in your hands XD?
Top Spin lmaolulz?;; Eh, Fables the only one I can think of XD

    Games I'm not sure about:

The Last Remnant;; Haven't played this one yet and not sure what it's rated, But my friend says it's really good. So I guess you could check it out XD.

Btw, Do you have a 360 Arcade, Pro or Elite?

Well, a few games I would recommend are:

    Halo 3
Call of Duty 4 or World at War
    Fallout 3
    The Last Remnant

Halo 3 and CoD are both pretty fun. While they're rated M, there isn't exactly anything that bad. People curse every once in a while and there's blood, but nothing over the top.
I absolutely love The Last Remnant mainly because I'm a fan of strategy games. Even if you're not, it's still enjoyable. It's also rated M, but like CoD and Halo 3 it's not really bad.
I'm not sure if you'll be able to get Fallout 3. It's one of my favorites, next to The Last Remnant. The game is ,however, pretty mature (use of drugs, alcohol, swears, blood and gore)

Wow... I've been using the wrong rating system this whole time... Whoops. Blame my lack of exposure to ratings outside of ESRB and PEGI. Anyway...

Halo 3: The multiplayer aspect of this game is what you're gunning for. It'll keep you occupied for a while.

    Call of Duty 4:
Good story, amazing online multiplayer with a good RPG-esque aspect.

Call of Duty: World at War: Excellent single-player mode with a multiplayer that builds off of CoD4's, as well as a few extra goodies to go along with it.

Fable 2: Explore a medieval world of wonder and do whatever you want: such as scaring the crap out of townsfolk with your sword.

Mass Effect: Sci-fi RPG with plenty of healthy content. FOX News just loves to hate this game.

Well most of the decent games for the 360 are either 16+ or 18+ so your are in a bit of a dilemna there. I never agreed with the game ratings, e.g. Mirrors Edge is a 16+ and I never understood why; it's hardly violent when compared to other games such as CoD.

Capt. Couch recommended Splinter Cell which I second, I would say you should get Chaos Theory; I think it was better than Double Agent but maybe that's just me.
Halo 3 and CoD WaW are 15+ so if you are allowed 15s then you can get those two.
Tom Clancy's HAWX is coming out in a couple of months, it looks pretty decent and is a 12+.

Halo is a bit overrated anyways, so don't worry about that. As for teen rated games.
I'd recommend Tales of Vesprira (Sp). It's a JRPG, but it's fun.
Man, there's a lot of M rated games on the Xbox. Gotta think for a second.
Braid and Castle Crashers are also great, you can get them off the market place. Mega Man 9 is also on the Market place, but it's hard. If you liked the orginal Banjo Kazooie, you could give Nuts and Bolts a try, but it's not really a sequel. And if you liked Lego Indiana Jones, give Lego Star Wars a try.

i recomend fable 2 halo 3 viva pinata party animals ( the racing one)
definatly fable 2 it is the best rpg ever ( i spend my time playing it til the point where my xbox overheats)
but dont get project gotham racing its not fun at all

    Well, I do not own a 360 (mostly because I was turned off by the controller), but I do own a PS3, so I would say get Soul Calibur IV, although I hear that the 360's controls for it arent very good. Also download Megaman 9 if you can. Its hard, but fun :}

Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection (or Sega Mega Drive Ultimate Collection depending on where you live) should be coming out soon. Tommorow for America, in fact. It has more than 40 games that were released for the Genesis/Mega Drive on one disk.
