Ipod touch help

    Hi. My friend has recently cracked the screen on his ipod touch 3g. He still has warranty so he is going to see if he can get another ipod touch without sending the broken one. My first question is that will he be able to get another one? he said that if he does he'll sell me the one with the broken screen. I was checking for tutorials on youtube to see how to replace the screen and am willing to do it. My second question is that what is a digitizer? I think that the screen is broken but not the digitizer as the touch stuff still works(I'm guessing that that is what the digitizer is).
     
    I think since it's under warranty, your friends needs to send back his broken iPod. I know that's how it is with computers and computer power adapters; mine broke and they demanded the adapter, or they'd charge 70$.

    Not sure what a digitizer is.

    I assure you he will have to send the broken one back. Apple will send him an empty box and a shipping label and won't ship the replacement until they receive the damaged one.
     
    Damn it. ill go and kick his A** in skwl for getting my hopes up. :p lol joking. erghh was so looking forward to an ipod touch. thanks for your help guys
     
    ok just got new information about it. apparently he had insurance or somehing on it
