Hello PokeCommunity forums! as you can tell, I am a new member and I'm glad to be here. A few of my friends referred me here a while ago and after browsing around for sometime, I decided to finally sign-up. What really appealed to me about the forums was the rom hack section and seeing the creativity and inspiration of those creating them. I loved the GBA games growing up and seeing them being relived in many unique ways is really amazing. If you haven't noticed already, I am a huge Eureka Seven fan and I hope it doesn't conflict with the general Pokemon fan-base on this forum :x I have been a fan of Pokemon myself ever since I was a kid growing up and although I sort have disconnected from the series after 3rd gen, I hope to continue the series again even if that means leaving the nostalgia behind. Anyways I guess that's it for now, I hope my small description didn't bore you too much xD and I hope I can be an active member on this forum.

I'm really happy to hear you're enthusiastic about the forum. ^~^ Your experience will be much more pleasant that way! Welcome to PokeCommunity, Renton.

You're totally not alone in thinking the ROM hacks here are awesome, because they are. Many of us have played the existing Pokemon games many times over so some people settled into making hacks to create new ways to play for other members. Hackers have really made some amazing things in their time, including an awesome physical/special split for the third generation, which was originally only available in the fourth and onwards. People have even remade older games with newer graphics, like the amazing Shiny Gold and Liquid Crystal! Gosh, you just have to try these games. :D You can find all of the more completed hacks in the Hacks Showcase subforum of the Emulation & ROM Hacking board. Be sure to let me know what you think, because I'm curious! Perhaps in due time you'll learn to make your own hacks, too.

Since you're a fan of the earlier gens I recommend checking out the Metal & Color Generation (http://www.pokecommunity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=36) and Advance Generation Games (http://www.pokecommunity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=164) boards as they'll be great places for you. Can talk about the first three gens there, yep!

Oh, Eureka Seven...? Very familiar but I'm not sure what it is. An anime, yeah? What's it about? We might have a thread on it in the General Entertainment board, where all anime/manga discussions are housed, but if not you can look into making one. There are so many anime I need to watch, like K-Project and Psycho Pass, so perhaps I'll add Eureka Seven to my list as well. :3 You being a fan definitely won't conflict with a thing here, haha. You seem like you have good taste!

Enjoy your stay around the forum and may you stick around forever and ever~! Have fun! Definitely try to be active since the more the merrier.
