3rd Gen Marill is Haunting Me

    On Pokemon Ruby every route I search on that has a Goldeen on it I keep running into Marill and nothing else. Is my game glitched? How do I stop this from happening?

    Well you can't find Goldeen with Surf in Ruby so just take your Old Rod and keep at it, as there's no way to guarantee a specific wild Pokémon appears.

    • If I recall correctly, using a Super Rod in the Safari Zone will only come across Goldeen and Seaking, so if you're in a pinch to find one, looking there would be your best bet.
