Just watched the live feed on Kotaku of the Nintendo press conference. In short, every Nintendo fan just committed suicide. :\

    Only interesting things:
    • Mario Galaxy out November 12.
    • Smash Bros Brawl out December 3.
    • New Mii Popularity Contest Channel coming soon.
    • Redesigned Wii Zapper coming soon, retails for $19.99.
    • Mario Kart Wii to be released Q1 2008, packaged with wheel peripheral.
    • New Wii Fitness thing called 'Wii Fit'.

"E3 this year may be seen as a coming out party...for the gaming industry"

That was like the one quote that caught my attention. I lol'd.

But seriously, that was pretty disappointed. I don't mind the demographics speech, but that's really all that the presentation was about. We got two dates, which is nice but not overly exciting, and a half hour presentation on WiiFit. I dunno. Nothing seemed like breaking news to me.

While Microsoft's presentation was godawful, at least they appealed to the hardcore gamers a lot more. Nintendo should've done the same for at least part of their conference.

I was impressed that Peter Moore could hold a 360 in one hand and wander around with it XD, he even said that himself.

Well, Wii Fit looks pretty cool, I might buy it, depends on the price.

    Mario Kart Wii was expected.
Release dates are nice, but new characters for brawl would have been nicer.

I'm sure happy we finally know the dates of some of the most anticipated Wii games.

Nintendo let me down this year. It was pretty much just a sell out to non-gamers. Sure we got Mario Kart Wii, and we got the dates for SSBB and SMG. But come on, Wii Fit? And Siggy not wanting to show off Zelda, or MSG or Mario Kart but wanting to show off Wii Fit? I sit there going "WTF?" when he said that.
In fact E3 07 as a whole was a let down for me. Nothing ground breaking happened this year, no new news for games or not many new games and such.
Sony did the best, Nintendo sold out to non-gamers, and Microsoft was there just to be there.

If you want to read my full thoughts on E3 it's below.

I think E3 as a whole was pretty disappointing. I might just be saying this though because I saw most of it on G4.

Hmm...so nothing about the Neo Geo's addition to the Virtual Console? ...That is pretty strange...well, they were going for a small event this year, weren't they?

I wish we would have gotten some info on WiiWare. Like a date for launch, or showing off some games for it, or at least give us something on it. It got it's name in the event and that was it.
