    • I'm never doing it again. My friends found out I'm a member of a Pokemon forum. I got laughed at.

    I don't even like PC in itself anymore, just the people here. i lost interest in Pokemon a while ago.

    I don't understand why people make fun of others because of their interests. I had a friend who graduated last year who was open to her interest in Pokémon. She would wear something related to Pokémon at least once a week and would often carry a handbag (she wasn't really into purses) with Pokémon pins covering it. I'm sure that she got talked about from ignorant people, but she was never made fun of for liking Pokémon. Even in high school.

    I'm sorry to hear that that happened to you. And with your friends, too. I can also get where you're saying about not liking PC in itself anymore because of the people, because it certainly isn't what it used to be and it seems much more grim and more like a forum where bashing is common, because that seems to happen often. Members just love to look for ignorance in posts here these days and prey on it.

    But some of the people I've befriended manage to keep me here, regardless, and because of them I enjoy it much more than I would if I didn't have them.

    And yeah, I hate it when people make fun of others just because they like something that seems "uncool" to the taunters. I wonder how THEY'D feel if someone made fun of them for liking something.

    And Gums, they aren't exactly perfect, but we've been friends for a while, and I've done much worse to them. XD

    • My friends, in the past, would sometimes joke about me being on a pokemon forum, but I didn't really mind. I knew they didn't think any less of me for being here. I'm certain that your case is different, but I know what you mean and have experienced ridicule just because I liked something, just like a lot of us.

    And, as with what most people said, if it weren't for the people, I wouldn't even be here. Well, maybe for HG/SS, but other than that, meh.

    • If you're all here for the people themselves, then why are you still here? You've got them on MSN or Skype or whatever you do. Obviously PC still holds something special for you.
