Now that I've grabbed the attention of some of the older Pokemon fans, that probably haven't heard that term in like 8 years, lemme continue.~
ohmannn.
Ever since my friend Alyssa moved in with me, things have been so hectic. She's always on the go, and a few nights ago she randomly pulled out her booklet of Pokemon cards. Back in the day, she and I used to collect them. To the point where she has multiple versions of the original 150. (Rocket, Gym Leader Pokemon, etc..)
Well, she was going through them, and I got mine out, and we started going on about Pokemon cards, which was something we hadn't done in maybe nine years.. Then she realized she was missing a Holographic, First Edition Ninetales (lol). So what do we do? We get in the car, and head to a card shop nearby at ten o' clock at night.. to get her Pokemon cards.
We show up, and the store gets out their boxes, BOXES, if individual Pokemon cards. >_>; She sifts through probably 1000 of the things over a half an hour or more, and omg.
They're so cheap now. Cards that people used to give their arms and legs for are 3 bucks, tops. Holographic, First Edition Charizard card was $8, and her holo Ninetales was $6. Unbelievable how much money people used to shovel out for those things. My mind was blown. xD;
All in all, she spend about $20 dollars, and walked away with 10 or so cards that she was missing. Both of us kinda fell out of collecting them once the Neos hit (Johto Pokemon, for those who dunno the term.. xD; ), but now she wants to start collecting them from where she left off.
Insane how nine years later we could pick up from where we left out, the difference being that collecting Pokemon cards is definitely a waaaay cheaper hobby now days. omg. >_>
