This week is the exciting conclusion of this episode, setting up for Ash's Gym match with Morty next time!
The only major change across both parts of the episode was that originally, Togepi was the second snatched Pokemon, but as Togepi was cut, I could at least give Ami that same sense of adventure and wonder to make a suitable replacement.
Looking ahead to next week, I thought long and hard as to how to make Ash's match against Morty work without Goldie (the Shiny Noctowl). My initial idea was to give him a Gyarados with dark-type moves, like what I used when I played SS. Then, after perusing Pidgeot's current move pool, I discovered that it is possible for the Pidgey family to learn Foresight through breeding, something Brock brought up in last week's episode. So I made Mina (his Pidgeot he caught back in Gen 1) have Foresight to make up for Goldie being gone.
As to how Mina will do against Morty? Stay tuned!
