Yeah yeah I know I said I was gonna do happy, but I realized I couldn't recall too many... So until I get enough, boss battles!

I was thinkin final bosses, but I realized there were a lot of normal boss musics I liked too.... :P So yeah.

And yes. Most of these were on my top 20. But that's because they were freakin awesome.

    The Sun Rises (Okami)

    Spoiler:

Yeah... a lot of these will be from Okami... but that's only because Okami has some of the best music I have ever heard... it's a very beautiful game and I recommend the PS2 version to anyone (Because the wii version is disgustingly finicky) But this seriously has to be one of the best final boss themes I have ever heard.... Total "I came this far I am NOT losing now!" feel... which is what a final boss should give you! Both in its own presence and in its music!

Promised Pain (Xenosaga Episode III: Also Sprach Zarathustra)

    Spoiler:

This was the first final boss music I asked a friend to download for me when I didn't have internet... This music was seriously so beautiful.... I had to put down the controller for like... a half hour just to listen to it.... And then hummed it the rest of the fight. Yuki Kajiura definitely did an amazing job with this one...

Last Battle (Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille zur Macht)

    Spoiler:

There's not too much I liked about the first Xenosaga game.... I didn't think battle music would ever make the list because you always, no matter who ya fought, had this one track playing and it annoyed me. Yasunori, you had the London Philharmonic playing your music! Compose more battle stuff!!! And then I get to the end and this happens.... My faith was restored....

The Divine Spirit of Language (Star Ocean: Till The End of Time)

    Spoiler:

This music played a lot in that game. But its most iconic appearances for me were the boss fights... The first being the HUGE EFFING DRAGON you fight at the end of the first disc, and the second being the fight with Albel should he be the second Elicoorian you recruit... I paused to just listen to this one... XD

Boss Theme #3 (Legend of Dragoon)

    Spoiler:

Legend of Dragoon, again, didn't have a lot of music that struck me last time I played it... but that was ages ago.... As I replay it I find myself loving this boss theme the most, and stalling on it just to hear it as long as I can.... Out of the 3 main ones it cycled through, this one became my favorite....

Dialga's Fight to the Finish! (Pokemon Mystery Dungeon 2)

    Spoiler:

Another one that I surprisingly liked a lot. PMD has a lot of surprisingly good music and this one always got me in a "LET'S FINISH THIS, BOSS" mood.... I freakin loved it. :3

    Demon Lord Ninetails' Extermination (Okami)

    Spoiler:

This has to be my second favorite battle track from Okami... The entire Ninetails arc of the story had a bigger edge of suspense then other arcs, and this music really brings that to light, and got my heart pounding through the entire fight. Seriously... this game gets a lot of applause from me.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Again, I think I squeed enough. Next theme will be whatever I want it to be...

  • The Sun Rises is one of the best songs in a videogame ever and it's on my top 5 favourite final boss songs.

Right with the final songs from Mario & Luigi 3, Super Meat Boy, Nitroid and Eternal Sonata.

I don't see Final Fantasy anywhere in there, therefore, I'm disappointed. :(

I haven't played enough FF. D: I am vastly ashamed of it. :C

Same with me.... Such an amazing track... <333 Okami's just a great game in general, no?

And I have never played those... I'll check 'em out.

Good choice on the Okami song. ( The Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Remix isn't that bad either.)

No, no it is not. It really did a good job of melding the song to fit the game. ^^
