This week, Ash, Misty, and Nurse Joy catch Team Rocket trying to melt the Ice Cave, but it is Brock's Swanna Song that saves the day!
Aside from tightening the battle sequence and slightly tweaking teams, the only other major changes was tweaking Brock's dream sequence at the beginning, and introducing another piece of Swanna Song lore--in addition to flashy attacks, it can also defend and heal the user and any allies.
Brock's dream sequence also foreshadows his minstrel costume, which he first uses in the Fantasy Stage in Shine Diamond. When he steps in to battle Team Rocket, he has on an allergy mask, so he doesn't pass on his bug to everyone.
Aina actually quotes her Fire Red Pokedex info when she tells Ash she can lift him out--it's also a reference to the Machamp that can carry you in SM and US/UM.
Next time, we begin the epic Blackthorn City arc, where Ash finally earns his final badge, and Kamon finally realizes Ash has been right all along.
