This week, Ash faces Gardenia for his second Badge!
The major changes here were cutting out Team Rocket (as per the competition rule) and shaking up Ash's team. Diddy replaced Turtwig (as per the starter shuffle), and he got Buizel to begin with, as Aipom was cut so Dawn could get a Mega Evolve-able Pokemon.
I did decide to give Tails some Contest flair, however--I figured that as part of getting so powerful, Tails battles with pizazz of his own that could also be used in a remixed Contest.
I also sped up and cleaned up the battle a little bit to account for the remixed Pokemon and slightly different movesets they had.
This episode is dedicated to all my fellow readers in the USA--Happy Independence Day, and I hope you'll continue enjoying the story.
Next time, Brock discovers he has a stowaway while trying to cheer up Nurse Joy!
