She bleeds... Oh does she bleed...

I have seen a commercial for the live action Fairly oddparents movie...

WHYYYYYY NICK WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS TO US!?

    Seriously....

    Wikipedia said:
A Fairly Odd Movie: Grow Up, Timmy Turner! is an upcoming television film based on the animated series The Fairly OddParents, set to air on Nickelodeon on July 9, 2011, at 9PM to celebrate the series' tenth anniversary.

.....How... how is it celebrating?! It seems like a terrible idea... and honestly it creeps me out to no end.... And Drake Bell as Timmy Turner? Nooooooo....... Noooooo....

By the way, here is the plot... Seriously.. it seems creeprish... The worst parts will be bolded...

    Wikipedia said:
Thirteen years have gone by since Timmy Turner met his fairy godparents, Cosmo and Wanda, but nothing has changed for Timmy except for his physical age now being 23. He still lives at home with his parents, attends Mr. Crocker's fifth grade class, and rides a tiny children's bicycle to school. Timmy's arrested development stems from his desire to keep his fairies for as long as possible. "Da Rules" state that every child must eventually give up his or her Fairy Godparents when they become an adult, but Timmy has found a loophole around this rule by acting like a child. However, when Tootie, a dorky girl who's always had a crush on Timmy, returns to town as a beautiful and smart woman, Timmy finds himself having very adult feelings for her, and must come to a decision whether to grow up, or act like a child and keep the fairy family he has known for so long. In the meantime, Hugh J. Magnate, a larger than life oil tycoon, turns his attention to capturing Timmy's fairies and using their power to fuel his maniacal ambition.

This.... just NO. I mean WHY would you do this Nick? This is a terrible way to celebrate that decade!

I dunno. Some of you may like the idea. I sure as hell do not... In fact, if you excuse me, I am going to cry over the bleeding corpse that was my childhood....

I am so mortified by this idea I can't bring myself to type coherently... NO.

One thing I don't get is how they interpret a 10 year anniversary as 13 years from his original age of 10.

I don't get that either.... This... oh god it scares me so.

  • I'll be honest. Fairly Odd Parents got bad in '07 or '08. xD I have no feelings left for the show to be honest. However, live-action shows based on cartoons are always terrible. Unless it's Patchy the Pirate in SpongeBob <3

Yeah. It got especially terrible when the focus fight between Timmy and Poof kicked in. But I still remember the good stuff (And the funbox) so this stabs it repeatedly.

Nickelodoen is a steaming pile of horse crap these days.

It's true. Most of the shows I remember from my childhood were nickelodeon... or disney channel.... it's sad to see what's happened to them...

    The thing that gets me most is 23 and still in the 5th grade.... it's what disturbs me most I think. And I'm disturbed quite a lot by this plot ;;

That was the huge kicker for me too. In the pile of disturbances, that was the biggest one. It just stares you in the face, knowing it's creeping you out.

    Buuuuut

^that made me laugh just as much as it creeped me out.
