This week, Ash and the gang befriend Nelson, a trainer that wishes to catch the Flame Beast Entei.
The biggest change for this episode (besides taking Team Rocket out) was removing Larvitar--I felt that the Larvitar plot also dragged the season out, so I cut it out to speed things up (that, and Ash's team is completed, so he doesn't need any more Pokemon, temporary or permanent.
I did replace Team Rocket with delinquents, as a reference to how the bikers in the games are usually troublemakers.
I also made a callback to Crystal and a reference to the Legend of Thunder special--in the remixed version of the show, Ethan and Lyra are cleaning up that mess as Ash and co. make their way towards Mt. Silver--allowing them to get there in time to cheer the gang on at Mt. Silver.
Overall, this episode was a bit of a breather after Misty got her final Pokethlon medal last time, but things will pick up again next time!
