This week, Ash and Estrella take flight in a PokeRinger competition, unaware a rival is among them!

This PokeRinger was heavily rewritten to be more like a race while passing through rings for points, similar to F-Zero or a ring shot challenge in most sports or racing games. Not surprisingly, the courses the various flying types are racing on are based on actual F-Zero tracks (Estrella's first race is modeled on the GX version of Mute City, for example).

James (and his Rocket cohorts) were straight up deleted from this PokeRinger, and the admins had no reason to be here either. Brock does bring up the PokeRinger Ash raced in in Houen, where he faced off against Aqua admin Matt, not James. (you'll see what that entailed when we reach Sapphire Sky.)

Since Remix Ash has more interests besides Pokemon, he will sometimes play music while on the road (usually to help the Pokemon find the group in hazardous conditions or if they get separated. Sometimes he will play for his own enjoyment--often using one of his collection of flutes) In this case he is playing this, which Dawn taught him as his first Shinou tune earlier in the story.

Next time, Ash and Paul face off in the ultimate PokeRinger race!
