This week, Misty competes in her sixth Pokethlon, only to find out that Nurse Joy is one of her competition.
The original episode was interesting and very sweet, but it also presented the opportunity for me to experiment--what if, instead of the Nurse Joy fearing the water Pokemon, she was actually one of the competition for someone?
So after removing Team Rocket, this episode was very easy to transform into a Pokethlon. I had Nurse Joy use a Blissey for competition as a nod to the episode "Ignorance is Blissey", which was cut to tighten the story. It also made a good fit for the Pokethlon type, as well, due to Blissey's common use as a tank.
I also added a little bit of worldbuilding--trainer cards can also list different skills and proficiencies the trainer has, such as scuba diving (at this stage, Brock and Misty have certification, and Ash will eventually get training before going to Houen).

Next time, the gang finally arrives in Olivine City, where Luce evolves during a terrifying encounter at the lighthouse!
