Yes, I killed the other one so I didn't clutter up the blog panel.

I have a new header for my blog! What do you think? It's big, I know, but I don't remember there being any restrictions. (Heck, I'll redo it smaller if it's a problem.) I spent all evening making this, and it was time well spent in my opinion. Please let me know what you think of it, and if you like it. I put it there to make my blog a nice page to visit for you guys, not for my own amusement (well, partially. And I do enjoy making these things.)

For anyone who's curious, the lyrics in the banner - and the blog title - come from the song Walking On The Water, by girl band Atomic Kitten, off their album Feels So Good. I haven't listened to that album in years, and I had to dig it out from the dark, dank depths of my drawer (alliteration ftw) in order to make sure I had the lyrics right. (I did. Sad, huh? I remembered what was there, the rest of the chorus, and half of the following verse. For someone with memory like mine, that's pretty good. Or bad, depending on how you look at it.)

In other (yet undeniably related) news, this is my going to be my entry for SOTW #68. Theme is 'macabre', so don't just accuse me of being sadistic (even though I am XP)

Spoiler:
That was fun to make. You know, all creepy and such? Lots of layers, too, and experimenting with filters. I must have used at least three on this, but I don't think I went overboard.

Let's see, what else is happening? I was recently pointed toward an anime called Clannad. (Thanks again for the rec, M4L.) I just watched the first episode this afternoon, and my goodness, it's bizarre. But it's very good, too. The art style is very nice, and the storyline promises to be interesting. The render in the header is from said anime.

The reason I have time to be doing all this, of course, is that I'm on school holidays at the moment. I'm going to be very active until Monday, when I go back to school for the final semester.

Which naturally means I have exams in *counts* five and a half weeks. I'm planning to start studying this weekend to build up momentum for the term ahead. I'm only taking Maths, Science and History (at full level, that is. I still have to do exams in other subjects), but that's more than enough. Next year, I'll be doing Maths, English, History, Classics/German (either or, depending on how my timetable turns out. Hopefully Classics.), Drama and Spanish.

But let's focus on this year for now, shall we? Right here, right now, priority list.

1. Graphics ZOMG (My current obsession, ever since I discovered how easy it was for even a total n00b like me to pick up a virtual paintbrush, nab a few renders off the Net and start graphicking.)
2. Get that damn review done for Citrinin's fic. I haven't forgotten you, mate. I just . . . keep procrastinating. I haven't reviewed since the fic was half the length it is now.
3. Review for I'm Not Your Hero's fic. Not so hard as I'm only one chapter behind. At the moment, anyway.
4. Sleep. It's getting late. *yawn*
5. Academia. Yes, this should be number one, but History homework and reading crappy sci-fi for English can wait a little bit.
6. Writing my own fic. >_<

You know, History really is deadly boring. I thought that was just in books and stuff, but it really is a boring subject. Yet I love it. Yet I hate it. I love it because it's History. It's awesome, it's History, yeah? I hate it because my teacher's style of teaching involves writing up screeds of notes on the whiteboard and making us copy them down. Then it's 'Read pages 72-74 of your textbook and answer the questions on the board.' And nobody ever finishes in class. We all have History homework, every day, because there's just so damn much.

We have two History teachers at my school (the department is small because there's little interest), and the other one (the one I don't have) is awesome. We had him as a reliever earlier this year, and he brought in this huuuuuuge tapestry-style map and took us through WWII step-by-step.

That's all for now. I'll put more in the morning when I'm awake, maybe.

Good night, PC!

. . . so that was what was gonna get commented on after all. The texture on the banner is Canvas. I quite like it. Out of curiosity, what do you not like about it?

And =P, La Pompa, I forgot about your piddly lil notebook.
