This week, Ash and Dawn have their first Tag Battle, and learn a lesson about teamwork on the way.
Originally, this was supposed to be episode 26 in the story. Even though "Drifloon on the Wind" featured a location in the games (the Valley Windworks); the more I thought about it, the less sense it made in my goal of speeding up the season, so it was cut.
The biggest change was taking out the admins (nee Team Rocket). The conflict of Ash and Dawn learning the important of team work made it feel like the evil team was just shoehorned in the episode. That, and how Team Rocket behaves here would be very out of character for Mars and Jupiter, so I felt it would be better to just not have a villain intrusion at all, and just have the tag battle be the focus of the episode.
The TV show is renamed "Shinou News Now" to create a sort of Headline News style show (and make a Poke-parody of CNN). Rhonda is much nicer to her crew in the remix.
Next time, our heroes kick off an epic adventure in Eterna Forest!
