This week, the gang encounters a mischievous Buizel, but Ash is not one to back down from a challenge!
The big change in this episode was having Ash get the Buizel to start with, since Ash no longer has Aipom. Since Aipom is cut (allowing Dawn to get a Mega Evolve-able Pokemon later), Dawn has no reason to catch or trade the Buizel. Team Rocket (and by extension Team Galactic) were also cut--this was one of those episodes where the main conceit of the episode was enough of a conflict without a villain butting in.
I also sped up most of the battle scenes (and cut the "special training" scene) to help the episode flow better, while still retaining how challenging it was for all involved.
I couldn't resist giving Misty a small cameo in this episode--she does get a proper appearance later on in the story, but she'll have a couple more cameos before then. (don't worry, I'm not kicking Dawn out of the party.)
I named the Buizel Tails as a "Sonic the Hedgehog" reference--since Sonic does resemble Zoroark. In this Pokeworld, that series is Pokemonized as "Sonic the Zoroark" (with Tails being Pokemonized as a Buizel).
We're also getting close to revealing who Brock's stowaway is--you'll find out who she is in two weeks.
Next time, the group befriends one of Shinou's Elite Four, while Ash has trouble with controlling Tails!
