This week, the group reunites with Danielle on Iron Island, and befriend the mysterious aura user Riley!
This new version of the episode is actually this episode and "Saving the World from Ruins" combined into one. For story purposes, it will be expanded into at least three parts because the leadup to the Galactic base is a golden opportunity for worldbuilding and character development for both Ash and Riley.
Danielle was swapped for Barry to account for the rival shuffle. She has an Alolan Ninetales named Twinkle (who will be revealed in the battle with Galactic) as well as her Piplup Rio.
Team Rocket was cut because they have no reason to be here (and Galactic would be much more of a threat than Team Rocket would ever be)
Riley's spell borrows the incantation for the recurring Tales of spell Aqua Laser.
I chose to make Riley's Lucario a girl and name her as I did to get a Final Fantasy reference.
Next time, the group continues exploring the island, and the group learns more about the order Riley belongs to and Ash's own abilities!
