Phone conversation I had yesterday with my brother:

Him: Hey, do you know if solar power will work if it's not a sunny day?

Me: I don't know. Depends on whether the last few days have been sunny and whether the panel's stored enough energy. But since you don't have any balcony, I'm not sure where you'd install the solar panel...

Him: No, I'm talking about Solar Power, the Pokemon ability.

Me: 0_o

I ended up telling him to look it up on Bulbapedia or something or try it out in battle. I still didn't know the answer and since I was at a bus stop when he called (great timing, huh?) I wasn't in a place where I could look it up for him.

And yes, when he first mentioned Solar Power I totally thought he was planning on buying some solar-powered apparatus at Wal-Mart or something...

... so.. how does that make you look like an idiot? If anything, it's his fault he didnt get the answer he intended to get as he didn't specify.
