  • Well, it's starting to sink in for me now. I only learned of Michael Jackson's death when I was watching the start of BBC World News America, so I quickly tuned onto Fox News and learned all about it.

His death hits me in a big way. I grew up in the 1980's and he was THE top performer in that era. I grew up listening to Thriller, Beat it, Billie Jean, Bad and so many others. His music RULED ALL!! I was also aware of his legal troubles the crept up in the 1990s, plus his ever growing eccentric behavior. By then I was moving onto other bands and musicians, but I always enjoyed listening to Micheal's stuff no and then. When I got my Xbox and Xbox 360, I made sure to put in a few good Michael Jackson songs in the hard drives so I can listen to Beat It while racing in Forza 2.

On a related note, I'm also saddened by the passing of both Ed McMahon and Farrah Fawcett. I always watched Ed McMahon when he appeared on the annual Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day telethons and I do recall seeing Farrah on Charlie's Angels as well. Both were great talents and I was equally shocked to hear that they both passed away, along with Michael.

I always said 2009 was a terrible year. The entire world now mourns the loss of the King of Pop. I feel like playing some Billie Jean now. :(

I've had Thriller on re-run for the last three hours.

Yes he was the best in the 1980s, but when the mid 90's came around that all the trouble came about him. But I didn't let that get to me. I didn't listen to that. It didn't effect me listening to his music. Which during that was was pretty awesome as well. But I agree in the 80s that was his decade. I heard about Ed by watching Star Search and The Johnny Carson Show. Farrah through Charlie's Angels.

I am listening to his album "Dangerous" now. Great music right there. I might listen to History next. I want to hear Thriller, Bad, Billie Jean, and Beat It.

I swear 2009 has turned to the worst year. And I truly believe it is the worst year. I admit it.
